Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation;

on thee do I wait all the day.

Apr. 15, 2008

Tuesday

I have been trying to be a little more relaxed while still trying to get our schooling in. I am always in a hurry. I know that the kitchen needs tiding, laundry is waiting to be put in the washer, dryer and taken out of the dryer and put away. Little ones needing attention while the older ones need to finish school etc. etc. etc. You all know the drill.

Because of all thee above I'm sometimes a no-fun-mom. Especially when my little students are taking FOREVER to finish their schoolwork. I am trying to add in more park time or bike riding time. We have been going to the park at least 3x a week. Before I was always too tired to. Another thing I have been working on. Putting my tiredness aside and doing things anyway. I figure I can be tired and have it affect the rest of the family or be tired and have fun with my children. I choose to have some fun.

Isn't it weird that during motherhood (when the kids are home) we are so tired and during our single days we were not. It doesn't make sense. We need our energy NOW!

Well I would blog more today but I want to look into Aleks math & TimesTables before my kiddos notice I'm missing

Blessings,

Linda<><

I love your school area and the joy I see in your children's faces. Those smiles say a lot.

Apr. 16, 2008 - Great wisdom...

I've felt the same way....thinking I was to tired and not wanting to do anything. But like you also, I feel guilty that I'm not being a "fun" mom. I'm still trying the balance between "responsible" mom and "fun" mom.

I hope to get the Heart of Wisdom group started in the next week. Lord willing I will have time tomorrow night to be on the computer. I've had a lot going on since Easter, some expected and some unexpected.

Praying for a great Thursday,
Blessings,
Linda

Just stopped in to catch up. I joined the HS Lounge too, but haven't even had time to look around. Maybe when our internet is more stable.

Loved reading about the kids. Tell them we all send our love.

Oh, I got the package today. Thanks a bunch.

Talk to you soon,
Cynce

I'm Linda, a child of God, wife to my best friend Lupe and mom to Joshua 98, Annette 99, Caleb 00, Brent 01, Ethan 03 & Lance 04. We have been homeschooling since 2002. We homeschool because we believe that this is what God wants us to do right now. I love being with my children, most of the time=) I have to admit that there are days when I ask God "Why am I doing this?" and he gently reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and deep down inside my heart I know why I am homeschooling ;)
