It has been a good day today. Not that all the other days are not good days, but I'm talking about it being less stressful, relaxing and still getting school done. Now I still have all my laundry to fold and I just made my bed . I still need to finish writing down all the contest winners. I did start and plan to finish that tonight.
About the Contest Giveaway: Today I am writing down everyone's name who entered on a piece of paper along with the shelf number, email address or blog address. If someone entered more than one than I am writing it out more than once. There are 91 entries but many of them entered more than one shelf, so that is my excuse as why I am not done today. LOL. I know bad to make excuses.
My kiddos can't wait to pull the names out of the basket. I'll post the winners tomorrow and contact them too. Hopefully I'll have everything sent out this weekend.
Today we started school at 10:30a.m. than grandpa came by at 11:00a.m. and stayed for lunch. We continued at 1:00p.m. At 2:30p.m. I put the kiddos down for quiet time and we will start again at 4:00p.m. and hopefully be done by dinner.
The reason for a late start. Ethan went outside to play at 9:00a.m. I was getting the rest of the kids started with school, when Ethan ran in yelling, "The baby bunny is in the bean plants!" Of course that was the end of study time. Everyone including me went running outside to see the little guy. Annette announced to everyone that the baby bunny is called a 'kit' she learned that in her science book yesterday.

This is her temporary Science book. We are waiting for her Rod & Staff Science to come in. Although this one is very nice. I am having her read a chapter then outline a few paragraphs. Once she is done outlining she has to rewrite the paragraphs from her outline. This is taken loosely from Excellence in Writing . Once her Rod & Staff Science comes in she will continue to read Christian Liberty Nature Reader and do a outline once a week.
Okay back to our morning. I told the kids to not run outside, because they can scare the 'kit'. We all went slowly to peek. Everyone went back inside but what to do with Justice my SIL's dog. We didn't want to let him loose outside and although we have had the poor guy tied to a long leash on the other side of our yard; what if the bunny wonders too close and Justice gets to it.
We decided to put justice on his leash and take him to the front. Once we were out in the front the weather was so nice that we didn't want to go back inside. Besides I didn't want to leave Justice out in the front by himself. He will bark at everyone or thing that walks by.
Since we were outside, I thought I would read to the kids as they played in the front yard. I read a chapter from:

and from:

Once done with reading the boys started getting a bit wild with chasing each other. Annette decided that she wanted to finish her school work. Since I wasn't about to leave the kids in the front yard by themselves I had Annette run in the house and grab her books and a blanket. We went over her English lesson and math while outside.
That is why we got such a late start today . I need to get back to my contest names.
Blessings,
Linda<><
