Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation;

on thee do I wait all the day.

A Teaching Moment ;) hee hee

Today started off as a not-so-good day. I actually told the kids that I wish I could drop them off at school. How mean huh? I REALLY tried to not say it but it came out anyway. One thing I am working on is not showing so much emotion and not changing my tone of my voice when I'm upset.

The reason I got upset was not even school related. It's all the little bickering that the children do. They get along great but wth the little stuff like; that piece of paper is on my side of the table or you put it away, no you or he touched me!

Another thing that has been getting to me is chores. My children are great with obeying. If I ask them to do a load of laundry or sweep they will do it without complaing but if I don't tell them then it doesn't get done (most of the time).

If you mix in a mama that didn't eat breakfast, well that doesn't help any

I'm so thankful the children and I have a good relationship; they didn't take it personally. It was a good teaching moment for them on how NOT to act

Of course I apologized and let them know that that was not very pleasing to the Lord.

uuummm....you are going to really think that I am horrible. I told my children today when they were bickering and complaining about school and fighting with each other, that I was going to run away and then they would have to go to public school...mean huh? I did apologize to them later and of course they knew that I didn't really mean it anyways...but I still felt bad. It does make me a little better though to know that others say silly things sometimes too ;-)

I'm Linda, a child of God, wife to my best friend Lupe and mom to Joshua 98, Annette 99, Caleb 00, Brent 01, Ethan 03 & Lance 04. We have been homeschooling since 2002.

We homeschool because we believe that this is what God Wants us to do right now. I love being with my children, most of the time=) I have to admit that there are days when I ask God "Why am I doing this?" and he gently reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and deep down inside my heart I know why I am homeschooling ;)
