We watched the weather forecast and awaited the greatly anticipated annual opening of our local butterfly gardens.  Rain and low temps kept us home till Thursday and then, with dearest taking the afternoon off, we had our great adventure!

Our little girl, 2 1/2, is a butterfly queen!  Anything "butterfly" and she goes nuts!  I guess it's a good thing I decorated her room with them.  For son, it helped that the gardens were attached to the zoo so that later he could see his polar bear.  (No, his room is not decorated "polar bear"!)
