SafeSide: Stranger Safety

Someone recommended SafeSide: Stranger Safety (John Walsh) DVD recently.  I got it from Blockbuster Online and it is great!  Teaching an important lesson in a fun way that is serious and doesn't frighten, this DVD was a hit with my 7 and 3 year olds.  Both watched it numerous times and, more importantly, have already used the teaching points.

As we venture out to an amusement park tomorrow, I'm a *bit* more relieved that they have had these lessons that I'd already taught my way, reinforced in another way.  So even if you don't think you're children need to hear this info, review it yourself and I think you'll be surprised.

Jun. 14, 2007 - safe side and HSB

Posted by Aligirl
We watched the safeside video a long time ago, and I liked it. I should get it again, because I am sure my kids don't remember it.

As for HSB...I wholeheartedly agree with you. The community and fellowship here is way different than other blogsites. It's a more close knit fellowship. And you can count on the majority of the blogs being written by true like minded christians. I have a blog with blogger that I don't use, and I have (unfortunatly) a myspace which I use just so I can keep up with some family members. But there is nothing like HSB!

We'll have to check this out! I wanted to encourage you to write a review about the Black books too, I saw that The TOS Company Store is selling them.

Also, I wanted to let you know that Ethan read the entire Apologia Astronomy book while we were traveling. Now he's just spouting out information randomly. He says he wants to reread it with me and do the notebooking assignments, there's nothing like a self-motivated learner to encourage a harried homeschool mom! I need to order a copy for myself along with those Black books!

Hope your weekend is going well!

Thank you for sharing about this DVD. I have often wondered if it was good.... my kids are a little older but I am still leary of their safety.

I love visiting your blog! Keep it up~

About Me

In the beginning there was a tree.
The Tree of Life.
When sin entered the world,
we no longer had access to that tree.
We waited for another tree.
The Cross.
Jesus, as the perfect sacrifice for our sins once again gives us access to the
Tree of Life.
But we have to wait.
Wait for Heaven.
Until then, we are...
Living Life Between The Trees.
