"This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Psalm 118:24

Living Life Between the Trees

Where Were You?

Do you remember where you were when the Challenger blew up 20 years ago today?

I remember it like it was yesterday!  I was at new staff training for Campus Crusade for Christ at Arrowhead Springs, CA.  Someone came running in to tell us and we laughed and laughed, thinking it was a joke.  We were wrong.  Then, we cried and cried.

It's strange to me that such an event impacted so many lifes and emotions--and memories.  And now 20 years--two full decades--have gone by and we still remember.

My hope and pray for the future would be that our memories would also be sharpened with the things of God.  His Words upon our hearts, the foundations upon which this country was founded, and the paths that led each child of the King to where they sit today!  Let us not forget.

Feb. 3, 2006 - Hi Honeybee!

Thanks for encouraging me towards SWR. I do tend to lean that way but the issue right now is money...so until we get our tax refund(:-) I'm gonna have to go the 'cheap' way. I can always get it a little later..but thanks to your suggestion I think that is way I will go when I do get it. I've read about it from several websites and I like what it has. Even this book from the library I love how she breaks it all down into bite-sized, ORGANIZED, SYSTEMATIC pieces...and I love how it comes from a homeschool mom...her perspective is closer to what is realistic for us, I think!!

thanks again,

dee

...and we were watching it on TV and I remember not being able to believe what I was seeing. I'll never forget it as long as I live. Just terrible. On a lighter note, hope all is going well, that you are avoiding the yuckie germs that seem to have found their way into my house. :)

I don't think that day really hit me until I got home and my Mom was really upset. I was so upset that she was upset that I drew a picture for her. She saved it because it was a memory of that day and our love.

About Me

In the beginning there was a tree.
The Tree of Life.
When sin entered the world,
we no longer had access to that tree.
We waited for another tree.
The Cross.
Jesus, as the perfect sacrifice for our sins once again gives us access to the
Tree of Life.
But we have to wait.
Wait for Heaven.
Until then, we are...
Living Life Between The Trees.
