freezing our fannies off

eh-lo!

Shelby and i didnt go to sleep until late last night, and neither did my grandparents. shelb and I woke up at 8:00 this morning, watched a little tv, ate the rest of the donuts, then went outside to see a giant squirrel. it is here i would like to add that locking ourselves out was entirely NOT MY FAULT!!! you see, we opened the door, stepped out, and i was about to turn the lock to unlock, when shelby decided to close the door behind her. we sat out there waiting for pop and jojo to wake up. we went around the house to the back door that leads into their room, and peeked in. turns out, 15 minutes later, their all asleep. i say all, because molly, the cocker spaniel, was asleep again too. we waited and waited and...well, waited. finally, shelby has to go to the bathroom. so she goes and knocks on the door yelling "WE locked ourselves out!" now,  i don't know about you, but i'm just ready to kill this child. 1. she locks us out. 2. she doesn't like all the games i come up with to pass the time. 3. she has to go to the bathroom at a really bad moment. and 4. she says it's OUR fault!!! geez.  shelby would like to say that she did not MEAN to lock us out. i believe her. but then saying it's OUR fault. that just puts the icing on the cake right there...

shelb says it's time to go outside and play with the two clothespin fairies we just made : moss and rose. this time, i'm going last.

The Entry I Promised

ok, now i have the time to post what's been going on. actually, i guess i don't have THAT much time, cause shelb's waiting on me to play yet another game of dogopoly. i mean, i LOVE that game; but i am just about the unluckiest person who ever played it. and normally i kill everyone. *sigh* i've been especially unlucky ever since i showed shelb how to win by buying houses. before, nobody bought houses. explains alot, huh? anyway, the trip up here(ohio)was long. though not as long as going from ca to ms!! lol! i dont think anything could compare with that one. =) we drove from 9:00AM to about 5:00. then when we got to the hotel, we swam. then went to bed(girls in one room boys in the other), then woke up to another fun day in the car. we got here at about4:30? somethin' like that....oooh! that reminds me of a song! lol. ;D i don't rightly remember what went on the first couple of days...just remember seeing lil' cousins(AJ=3 and Andy=1)alot. my other cousins(Erin=12? and Lydia=10?)were out west for a spell. i just remember gong out to my grandma's swing she has out in a garden, and watching the sun set. *sigh* that surely is a gift from God.

I recollect that we went to the Creation museum in Kentuckey a couple of days ago. It was pretty cool. Though we all agreed that if it was "night at the museum", there sure would be alot of Adams:

"who's the real Adam?"

"i am!'

"No, I am!!"

it prolly would get pretty confusing. xD

Well, all week, i've been praying that shelb and I would get to stay at least a week after everyone left. after a *ahem* misunderstanding amongst the family, mom and dad surprised us with saying yes! i mean, kyle got his week away at boy scout camp. peepo get's his at cub scout camp this week as soon as they get home(now you see why he wasn't jealous); and i felt that shelb and i needed a week to ourselves too. and spending it with grandparents out in the country is JUST the way to do it! we both LOVE it here! my grandparents have a REALLY nice setup out here! most credit going to my grandma of course for her lovely gardens she's kept going all about the place. we get to stay nine days. and guess what's even better: our cousins are coming home tomorrow!!! we thought we'd get maybe two days with them, but NOOO; we get out whole week! and they even have a horse show they've invited us to!! we'll prolly have a sleepover together and everything! we, all four of us are horse CRAZY; so yeah, it makes it up pretty awesomely. this morning, we watched the rest of the family drive away, and then went out for Krispy Kreme. then we came back, and watched a movie called "The Education of Little Tree". it was a very good movie. then shelb and i prepared the guest bedroom downstairs, and here i am now! and if that isn't shelby coming through the door this blessed minute! i better go now; and i dare say, hannah, this IS the long entry i promised you. sorry: YA'LL

lol!

My Friends, My Employees

Ok, I've been playing zoo tycoon lately, and I name my zookeepers, maintenance workers, and marine trainers after people I know. Here's the list(sorry if you're not on there):

zookeepers: Dad, Mom, Seth, Me, Shelby, Caroline, and Micah(he's my best one if you can believe it).

marine trainers: Hannah(you train my Balugas)(and you're rather good at it too, I might add!)

maintenance workers:Kyle, Parker, and Kathleen(sorry, kd....IT'S AN IMPORTANT JOB!!)

palientologists: Bennett(my best one, but he gets annoying), Brett, Eric(he's either a zookeeper, or this; but all I know is he just sits around), Anthony, and a friend of mine, Kendall(I know what you're thinking Hannah, but I ran out of names).

Sorry if you don't like your job; I COULD fire you if you'd rather...

Sam

BTW: I think I already fired mom 3 times. xD

Our Bird Family

Well, we have a nest of baby birds in the corner of the roof of our porch. Although I'm not sure you could call them babybirds any more. Shelby and I laughed all night the night before last about the names we gave them. Or rather, the one we gave one. I'm sure you can tell which one we laughed so hard at: Crazy William and Margret(parents); Milly, Keith, Rose, and Vacuum Harry Dandruff. Crazy William was dubbed so, because he keeps crashing into things. For example, I was playing computer, and my favorite window sits right to my right, and I was reading peacefully(with a sibling reading over my shoulder, of course) and then.....SMACK!! I looked up, and a bird flies away. I ran outside to see if it was ok, and then I saw it crash into something else, and then fly away to the front of the house where the porch is. Shelby and I were both like, "Crazy William." lol! It is the stupidest bird I have ever seen. It also sits on the porch swing and chirps during the night. *shakes head*

Our Smurf Clan

Well, nothing much. Just acting out the Narnia cd's with our stuffed animals. We already did The Magician's Nephew; now we're on The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. We were just on the part, at the beginning, when Lucy goes into the wardrobe. Then Shelby had to go to the docter to get her throat checked. Strep throat is going around down here, and mom thinks that she has it. I hope I don't get it. I've had it once before. It isn't much fun. I tried to play outside yesterday, but it was too hot, and I nearly fainted! It's been really hot down here. In the 90's, and the humidity has been merciless. That's funny, I just heard: "Lassie! Lassie!" It seems Lassie hates little Timmy, and dosn't want to stay with him. Poor little Timmy. I'd say, good ridance! No, wait, I'd say, let's get rid of little Timmy! Keep the mutt! Let's get rid of the litte boy who's so baby-ish, that he always needs his dumb dog to come to the rescue. I just don't get what kinda suckers would fall for that kinda stuff. Oh, speaking of that: has anyone out there any idea why those little stupid smurfs fall for the same trick every time? Ya know, the blowing up present that Jokey Smurf gives them with his idiotic laugh saying, "Here's a present fer ya!" Then the victim opens the prize, and................KABLOOEY!!!!! Sometimes I just don't get old tv shows. But, heck, they're better than what we've got. Shelby, Parker, and I were sitting in the living room the other day; we had just finished watching a Smurf episode, and we were dubbing everyone in our family one of the Smurfs: Dad turned out to be Handy Smurf; Mom was Papa Smurf; Seth was Hefty Smurf; I was dubbed Brainy Smurf(trust me, it's not as nice as it sounds.); Kyle is Greedy Smurf; Shelby was Lazy Smurf; Parker is Clumsy Smurf; Caroline was just dubbed Smurfette for the time being; and we are pretty sure that Micah will forever be Grouchy Smurf.

So there you haveit: The Smurfs

Berries, Berries, and More...Black-eyed Susans??

Hello!

Shelby and I have recently discovered(during a game of "prairie girls") that we have a Mulberry tree and several bushes of wild Blackberries!! I have also discovered that on our "entry gate" we have another berry that neither Mom, Dad, or me can discribe or define. It is green and all the berries are tiny, and are bunched up sorta like grapes. And they are growing on a vine with pretty leaves. I drew that vine when the berries weren't there(maybe someday I'll figure a way to post it,), when the leaves were small and quaint. Now they are as big as the birch leaves that grow on the two trees that I have my "prairie girl" house under at the crest of the hill of the driveway. You know, as I typed that description of the berries, I can't help feeling that they might BE grapes....odd.

The title encludes Black-eyed Susans, because I have seen NUMEROUS bunches of them growing wild along the road. They are so pretty! Although I'm sorry to say that we only have one single "Susan" growing on our whole 16 acres! And I so desperatly want to pick one!!

I guess that is all for now.

A Generous Sister, And A Brother Like Me

Well, it's 9:45 in the morning. Caro had a rough night of it; see, Gracious Shelby got a king-sized bag of m-n-m's from Dad for her birthday, and she kept giving us HANDFULS. I was like, "Shelby, they're almost gone! Don't give us anymore." Then she'd ask us if we wanted more, or say, "You're supply is gone! Here, let me give you some more!" and without an answer, would give us 50 each. I guess I never realized until now what a good, sweet, generous sister I had(NOT talking about Caroline!! lol!)

THANK YOU SHELBY!!!

Anyway, I JUST got Micah down for a nap. My mom was on the phone, and my dad was looking at....well, let's just say UNWANTED mail. lol. And Micah was screaming when I got out of the shower, so I decided to help. Well, I couldn't get him quiet in the crib, or in  the house for that matter, but then, when I went out on the deck, he was totally relaxed. He likes to look at the three big trees right outside our back door. He also likes to listen to the birds, and how the wind rustles through the trees. Ya know, I think he and I are gonna have a lot in common.

Computer Days

Hello, my friends.

Sorry I did not get on on Friday; the reason I did not, was because Kyle had gone to a baseball game with his friend Noah and their family right after school. He had ordered Zoo Tycoon(because SOMEBODY made the mistake of giving him the expansion pack of Dinosaurs for his B-day), and it came while he was away. (That was on Thursday.) Then on Friday, we went to Office Max and got a vet game, and a lego 2 disc game. (We also got a Caillou game for Caro, but I didn't think I needed to mention that as one of the games that we would play!) Well, then for my turn on Friday, I wanted to play my vet game. So, yeah, that's what I did instead.

bbfn(bye bye for now)!

"How many slugs you see, Shelb?"

Ok, it's 10:22, and I have just finished my math test(public schoolers, this is the ONLY time in my history that I have gotten to do school in my pj's!) And the compy's been off all night, so I plug in my headphones, and puch the button and it goes: DUM DE DUM!!!!!! lol. It seems I forgot that last night, the kids and I were home alone, and we sorta kinda turned the volume up all the way. He, he.

And here is today's quote(said by Shelby): I wish I wouldn't drool in my sleep, cause then I wouldn't have to sleep in my drool.

lol, I know, weird. Well, HANNAH, I took pictures of my house and my back yard and and all the places the kids have named and my tomatoes. Yes, folks, I'm growing tomatoes, I have about 9 of them(all green!) But I can't load any of my videos or pictures, because Mom says I have to have a drop shots profile, but I know that's not true, and she won't let me have one. (At the moment.)

Hmmm, what else do I have to say? Oh! Ahem:

Some families like to sit around their television after dinner; some like to play a board game; and some just like to go straight to bed sometimes; but us? Well, we're one of the stranger ones; we like to sit around the screen door, and count how many slugs get in. lol! I know, you guys are probably thinking "What kind of screen door lets in bugs??!!" The only answer I have for ya'll is: ours.

I guess that's all for now! I'll probably think of something else to post as soon as I get off! "That's the way it is!"

Forgetting Mother's Day!!

Hey guys!

Just posting about the REALLY bad storm we had last night. It almost turned into a tornado! As a matter of fact, it WAS a tornado in most  parts. It just NARROWLY missed us. Praise the Lord. Speaking of him, on Saturday night, Shelby and I were reading the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel. Well, the preacher at our church preached about how Hannah prayed and how we need more praying mothers in our world today. He read the story of Hannah praying for a child and then dedicating Samuel to the Lord. (It was for mother's day.) lol. You know what? I feel so bad, because every year, I forget Mother's Day! I always remember at the last minute! Now I'll know where my kids'll get it from! lol. SORRY MOM!!!

not being sneaky this time!

hello. and, YES i DO have mom's permission. lol. well, i guess i just wanted to tell ya'll that the reason that i'm not writing is because we don't have stamps HANNAH, so i'm sorry. i didn't mean that accusingly, i just put it in caps because that message is mainly for you, my faithful friend, who's been writing to me, and i have not sent anything. thank you. the letters are much appreciated. well, i've done it. i've chopped off my long hair. it's not such a bother now. and now, yay for mom, i'm not a pain to get in the shower too. i guess that's all that i came on to type, seeing as my mom's REALLY mad at the moment. you're probably thinking "how could you even THINK of going and asking to get on HER laptop when she's REALLY mad, as you say?!" all i can say is "i can." and i did. and now that is in the past. but now, i probably should start checking blogs; the blogs of my faithful friends who have been posting on my blog ALOT even though i do not answer; such as hannah and kd and, finally, tanglefur. btw: i like your new template.

that's the update. not really and update, eh? i will probably not post until that stupid corner table comes, and we get the stupid compy down the stupid stairs, and my LOVELY, i mean that, mother calls the people to find out why we can't have internet on the desktop...?

good bye. hopefully not forever.
