hopeandafuturecontinued is not allowing comments so I guess I will comment here...

I am very glad I came back to good ol' California before Louisiana!! I don't think I could have taken those bugs twice in two years!!

San Antonio is definitely a must for the next time we go to Texas... from your descriptions it looks like a really fun (old) place.

Have a great time in the Gulf!

Days 13 to 16

Hey!
I will post a comment about your trip here also. :-)

I would be freaked out to be above the 11th floor! I don't like heights like that!

Louisiana sounds really creepy! I don't think I will ever want to go there after reading your post! (I'm scared of spiders, and those sound big! I have "big" ones in my chicken shed, and tonight I got mom to come out with me while I tried to kill them, (I think they only come out at night!) I knew there were two, and later found a third one, I only got to kill one though! But, sorry all spider lovers, the other two aren't going to live much longer! hehe ;-)).

Have a great time! :-)
Love, Amy :O)

Hi!

Sounds like San Antonio was fun!

Now Louisiana on the other hand....lol. You Californians must really not see a lot of bugs as the norm. They are everywhere here in Georgia. Spiders, ants, roaches, palmetto bugs, mosquitos, flies, skeeter eaters, granddaddy long legs, and snakes (I know it's not a bug but still) all like to live in our house on occassion.....especially lately when it's been 105 degrees with very, very high humidity which makes it feel like 110 (yeah, we can't breath). Outside is another story! :-) If you want to see some gators you should go to the Okeefenokee Swamp in south Georgia. They have gators a'plenty and no locusts or banana spiders. :-)

I hope you have a great trip with no future giant insect encounters.

FAMILY-

1. "Family is one of those things you sometimes wish you didn't have but really couldn't live without."

2. I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich.

3. "The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together." How true for me! ~Elizabeth (Luvs2Sing)
