Horsie Girl

My favorite thing to do.

My favorite thing to do is cook! Once, me and my Mom made this potato kind of thing, and it has marshmellows on it! I got the recipe from this cook book My Mom gave me for my birthday! It was a long time ago.  I still have the cook book. That was my first thing that I made. I haven't made anything in a long time! I like to make brownies with my bigger sister Emily. I help my Mom somtimes make things. Well, Ya'll could comment me if you would like, and tell what things you like to do! Well, Bye! horsiebabe

It is silly in a funny way. Most of it is just funny. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I like to cook as well.

Hi Ruby! Joy likes to cook too. Your potato and marshmallow recipe sounds very different but I bet it was yummy. Joy has a first cookbook she got from a friend years ago and still uses. We put marshmallows on our yams and that is good. Joy made pizza twice this week. First with store bought crust and pizza sauce and yesterday with homemade crust and sauce. All very good.

Joy and I showed Ima in a 4H Fun Practice Show and the weather was so hot and sunny for here. Very nice but we were tired and had to be careful not to sunburn since we don't get that much sun very often.

Ima was a very good girl and she seems to know the show ring and when she's got the judge in the arena for her. She behaves even better in the show ring and then won't do stuff for us when we practice! Joy got all blue ribbons. I got 2 blue and 1 red. Joy was hoping we'd get all blues so I 'ruined' that! Ha! But Joy said that was okay. She's so sweet. We kept having to change saddle pads and saddles fast between Joy's classes and my adult classes. We even had Joy's friend helping. It felt like a car pit crew at the races.

I told Joy it goes to show that who rides the horse makes a difference and she rode Ima better than I did. Joy takes lessons on Ima. Joy had more competition too. But we had a lot of fun together. Dad came to watch and help. Our son volunteered in the Chuck Wagon cook shack. He likes to run the cash register and use his math skills.

Today is cloudy again and we are off to church. We had our house re sided and painted and the new colors look very lovely on it. We are going to sell our house and it needed to have new siding so it is good we had it done.

Thank you for sharing about your choir concert. You are so musical! Do you sing to your horses when you work with them and ride? You could be the singing cowgirl and I'm sure the horses would enjoy your singing too.

In Him,
Mrs. Marie and Joy
