House Full of Joy

red tomatoes

My neighbor brought over some juicy, red tomatoes.  When I say juicy, I am talking about really juicy!!!  We have used them in salads, marinara sauce, and a pasta dish.  I am running out of ideas, but these delicious beauties are not going to last forever.  Aside from canning, I am running low on tomato ideas...

On another note, I wrote about our plumbing problems recently and although the issue was taken care of, we did end up moving our dryer so that it doesn't blow out the linty stuff and clog up the pipes from that angle.  We need to put in another outlet in order to have it in working order, so until this time, we are hanging out our laundry on the clothesline.  My husband hung the line across our kids' play area, but it is working nicely.  We are all enjoying the fresh smell of air-dried laundry.

One more sideline...it rained yesterday while the kids and I were playing at the park.  It doesn't rain often during Summer and the refreshing water pelting our faces was rather enjoyable, albeit, wet!  We ran to the car and loaded the little ones inside, thankful for at least a half hour of play before the downpour...

Today I am thankful for tomatoes, clotheslines and rain...

Oh, I hope to soon have the problem of having so many tomatoes that I don't know what to do! I love to walk barefoot outside in the rain. Glad you had an enjoyable day with your little ones.

Blessings,
Lori

I recently had too many tomatoes. I have never canned but my daughter and I decided we would give it a try. She (9yr old) loved it. I posted about that with photos on my blog. I hope you will stop in and take a look. I need to have another park day with my littles too. Be blessed:)
