Not just words

It is early on Thursday morning and instead of planning a funeral as I prepared myself to do, I am instead on my way to the hospital again. Will has been doing much of the communication about Charity since the mommy (me), hasn't been coping very well. My usual 'calm in emergency situations' has completely left the building! I am left with feeling overwhelmed and unable to deal with things well. Only because of the prayers of God's people have I/we been able to continue to hang in there. Prayer is mysterious and wonderful, but we know it works. As we have said to some, prayer is life support for all of us right now.
Every chance I get I kiss Charity's warm little cheeks and speak to her since we know that she hears our voices and understands what we are saying. Our prayer for her is that she would know God's presence and experience Him in a way that cannot be understood. We are asking for a freedom from fear for her, just a resting in His arms. We can't hold her but believe that He is doing that. Each day we are giving her into God's hands and trusting in His sovereignty.
As I watched her oxygen levels slip yesterday, I was compelled to leave the room, knowing that I couldn't watch another "episode" My daughter Chloe began speaking words of comfort to me and we clung to each other and wept. Tucker has been giving words of scripture for me to think on, and his level of understanding is beyond his 11 years. Ellie and Harrison are unable to comprehend the situation but are ecstatic about the pizza, movies, and grandparents that make up this adventure. They are not afraid and remind us not to fear.
It isn't just words when we tell you we need prayer. They aren't just words when we say that we believe God is real and we trust Him, and they aren't just words when we tell others that we have a HOPE. Worship with us today!

Thank you for taking the time to update us via this blog. Charity is on our minds and hearts and we are lifting her and you up in prayer. You are in one of the greatest fights of your lives right now; I pray Our Lord's peace upon you. Charity is surely in His loving embrace, and you are, too. Though she is weak in body, she is loved so much. The tragedy in life is not a poverty of health, or a poverty of wealth, but the greatest tragedy one can experience in this world is the poverty of love. Charity and your entire family is so rich and blessed. Many hugs and kisses and shared tears, your cousin, Truda.

I am praying for Charity - and for your family as you rest in the arms of God, accepting his perfect will for your baby.
May you continue to be covered in the prayers of friends, family and even strangers.

Lifting All of you Up In Prayer!!!!!
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go; I will guide you with mine eyes
Psalm 126:5-6
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
He that goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I want to take it all away from you and I would if I could. But I know the God you do and will lift you up. I am glad that I have been able to be here with you, but still wish I could do more. I love you so much. Your children are my children. You are blessed. May God hold yours and Charity's little hand.

My mom is keeping me updated on Charity. Cadenne being on ECMO was one of the hardest things to watch and endure. I know to some degree what you're going through, and it helps me know how to pray. It is awesome to read about what support your kids have been to you. Hugs!

Dear Elizabeth,
We just got done with three PICU stays in March for our little one's heart problem. I thought I would go crazy watching her in pain and afraid - I know how you feel and I will be praying for you!
