We were able to spend a lot of time today working on Keeper2Be's sewing project.
This project is Keeper2Be's first time sewing using a pattern, yardage of material,
pinning, ironing in between and actual machine sewing.
She has been learning many new things.
She was very eager and determined today to try to finish her dress.
We have made a bargain... When she learns the basics of sewing, by finishing this dress...
I will then buy the 1800's regency dress pattern that she wants badly.
We came very close to finishing today. She was an extremely diligent worker.
Below are a few photos of the process...
Here she is with the finished bodice... ironed and all...

The bodice was not her favorite and she was extremely thrilled to be finished.
Here is part of the six-panel skirt she just finished pinning and is ready to sew...

Here she is sewing it together...

When we first started pinning the pockets, she was unsure how it was going to work.
But she was thrilled when she finished them and loved how the pockets 'hid' into the skirt.
Here she is with the finished skirt (well, minus the band she will add)...

She is even more eager to finish the whole project.
Only a few more steps away!
