Hurricane Katrina

Bibles! We Need Bibles for the Refugees

There is an urgent need for Bibles  for the refugees.

I certainly don't think FEMA will be passing those out!  So, we can do it!

With our big homeschool group, we can distribute Bibles throughout the Alabama Gulf Coast, which includes two of Alabama's largest counties.  Hundreds of refugees from Mississippi and Louisiana are in our shelters.

We can pass out Bibles, if you can get them to us.

The refugees left their homes with few or no belongings.

Send Bibles via Media Mail to:

Tim and Lori Seaborg

18930 Highland Drive

You may also want to mail them through Amazon.com.  If so, click here

Thank you so much for helping!

God bless,

Lori Seaborg

How can we help?

My husband and I are in the process of selling our home to move to south/central Texas. We are praying about what God might have us do - possibly put our plan on hold for a time to go and help. Between the two of us and our three children we have ten hands and ten feet - (some stronger and more skilled than others!) and we were wondering how we might find out ways to help. Can you get us any info about that?

Sending Bibles

Lori,
I just ordered 4 Bibles from Amazon.com and am sending them directly to you. They aren't scheduled to ship until 9-7-05, but I hope they will get there sooner. I'm praying they get into the hands of those whose hearts are ready for the Truth.

Thank you for ministering to the many who are hurting. I'm glad your family is safe.

More Bibles on the way...

We have sent 6 Bibles via amazon.com directly to you Lori. They said the shipping may take longer because you are in the hurricane area. We pray that they get there quickly!!

Will be sending Bibles next week!

Just yesterday my six-year-old told me we had to send Bibles to you to give out! It's always exciting to see the Holy Spirit at work - especially in the midst of crises! Bless you and your family! A package will be on its way from central Virginia soon!

We're on it

I'll put this request in an update for Operation Ship It. They'll come with the rest of the donations. Pray for clear runways and truck routes, God willing you'll see this Thursday! Oh . . . If only Thursday wasn't such a long way off . . .

Bible Source

Lori:
I just wanted to let you know that we found a source for inexpensive Bibles at: http://www1.ecxmall.com/stores/christianwholesale/StoreFront.bok
For $1,000.00 you can purchase 1,000 Bibles to give away. We have close family friends in Mississippi who were missing until today, and I am hoping we can make a trip to help with the relief effort very soon, but it will depend on whether or not we can find family or friends willing to watch our six younger-than-10yo children. We have a few boxes of clothing to send, and the children have willingly set aside some toys as well, so I just need to package everything for Tuesday's mail. My heart breaks for you all, and you are in our prayers. God bless your efforts!
