and on Monday, May 19, 2008

at 7:00 PM 

at Church of the Brethren

783 W. Highland Ave., Elgin

for two very special Evenings of the Arts.

 

Admission is free.

 

Tuesday, May 13 Details:

Arrive at 6:30 PM to view displays from: Teen Art Studio, Art Studio, Intermediate Drawing & Painting, Beginning Drawing & Painting, Arts & Crafts, Wood Sculpting, Jewelry Making, Sewing, Knitting & Crochet, and Chess.

 

At 7:00 PM presentations will begin from: High School Theater, Theater I & II, Dance I, II, & III, Historic English Country Dance, French I, Spanish Songs, Stories, & Games, Beginning Spanish, Continuing Spanish, Teen Spanish, Preschool Music, Chorus, Poetry, Speech, and Juggling.

 

Willow Creek Community Church at 67 East Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL 60010 is just east of Barrington Road and on the south side of Algonquin Road.     http://www.willowcreek.org/directions.asp
 
 
Directions from the south (Barrington Road): take Barrington Road North. Turn right into church entrance north of Mundhank Road.
Directions from the north (Barrington Road): take Barrington Road south. Turn left on Algonquin Road. Turn right at next light into Church campus.
Directions from Woodfield area. Take 53 North to Algonquin Road exit. Take Algonquin road west. Church entrance will be on left before Barrington Road. There is a stop light for this entrance.
Directions from Elgin area (I-90). Exit I-90 at route 59. Go north on Route 59. Turn east onto Algonquin Road. Church entrance will be on right after passing Barrington Road.
Directions from Elgin area (Higgins or Golf roads). Travel east to Barrington Road. Take Barrington Road North. Turn right into church entrance north of Mundhank Road.
Directions from Algonquin area:Take Algonquin Road east. Church entrance will be on right after passing Barrington Road.
 
Parking once you’ve arrived at Willow Creek. We recommend that you park in Lot D and enter the “D” entrance door
From the Algonquin road entrance: this will be the 4th section you come to (A being the first)
From Barrington Road entrance: After following drive into Church grounds, go straight when the road splits with a curve to the left or straight options.  Turn left at the stop sign and park to the immediate right or left of that drive (as close to the building as spaces allow)
From
Mundhank Road entrance: Follow drive to Church grounds. Straight at stop sign. park to the immediate right or left of that drive (as close to the building as spaces allow)
Side note on leaving the campus: If you need to go south on Barrington Road, it is better to exit from the Mundhank Road exit. Turn right on Mundhank Road from Church drive and left on Barrington Road (1st light)
 
Once inside the building, you can get to our room by either:
Down the stairs that you will see ahead of you, just past the escalators, a straight walk from the doors that you entered. Once down the stairs, the room is on the left of the staircase.
Down the elevator. Get to the elevator by turning left after entering the building and following the hall down to the elevators on your left. Go to level 1. Once off the elevator, the room is to the right, and will be on your right side.
We are scheduled to be in room D110-Blue Sky 1. Due to last minute meeting requests/changes, Willow Creek may sometimes need to make room changes for events. Please check the lobby TV monitors if there is a room change.
  
Allow extra time for parking and walking into the building. (And any possible scenarios of getting lost. It is a rather large campus)
 
Monday, May 19 Details:

At 7:00 PM recitals will begin featuring the following: piano, voice, guitar, violin, flute, trumpet, clarinet, French horn, and percussion.

 

Church of the Brethren is located at 783 W. Highland Ave. in Elgin at the intersection of Highland and Larkin.
