Sep. 6, 2008 - Lesson 1
Welcome, and that's great that Lulu pointed you over here. It's a great time, as I'm not swamped with students right now--only a few, and they don't post every day. So...pant, pant. I have time to look carefully at your work.
I see that your problem is "Louis has no voice." Oh, dear. I'm not familiar with this book. Is Louis a child? A swan? The book is titled "Trumpet of the Swan" so it would be great for us who haven't read the book to be able to get a sense of the 5 elements. Perhaps a few more details would help me . . .
Like for character, "Louis, a young swan...." or something like that. Or "Louis, a boy who...." if Louis is a human.
For the solution, it should somehow relate back to the problem. Burning question: Does Louis eventually get a voice?
So those are my thoughts for this first lesson. I hope they are helpful and that you will add a few things so I can understand the elements of this story a bit better.
You understand the concept great, but just a bit more is needed here. :-)
See ya later!

Thank you for fixing that. It makes much more sense now. Looking forward to lesson 2 sometime.
