Hello,

So for a long time I haven't really written anything really interesting so I thought

I would actually write something.

So for those of you who would like to see pictures of our trip I will post a few

on this post. YAY lol

And for those of you who have been reading my blog and just waiting for

me to actually say something interesting I think that the following might be

interesting enough for you...if not...I'm sorry. haha

I have another blog as some of you may know and it's for girls only. On there I

write bible studies and such. Well I was thinking that I should starting posting

whatever I post on there on here as well...but I will make them able to be read

by boys so all my guy friends on here may read as well. :)

So here is a post that I recently made on Self-control...I hope you like it!

"Then come together so that Satan will not tempt you

because of your lack of self-control."

Corinthians 7:5

Wow. Our lack of self-control? Ouch.

Do we really lack self-control, and if we do what areas of our lives

do we lack? We all lack some self-control sometimes. When your little

brother does something to annoy you

and you throw a fit calling him a jerk, I'd say that's lacking self-control.

When your team looses you start calling the other team cheaters and such

even though they didn't cheet.

Your just mad you lost and need to get it out, right?

Okay, so maybe you don't need to let it out like that. No calling names.

Counting to 10 helps a lot...seriously....it does.

Just take a second, sit down, breathe, and think about WHY you are frustrated.

Really, if you think about it, most of us lack a LOT of self-control.

How else could you respond to the situation?

Annoying little brother-

"Hey Joe that's really bothering me, could you stop or do it

somewhere else, please?"

You could also consider just moving yourself. Take turns. It doesn't

help you by getting worked up about something that could so easily be fixed.

Another thing you could think about is why does whatever hes doing annoy you?

Lost Game-

Just relax. Thats the key. Stay relaxed. I know I sound like some therapist or

something...but it's true!

If you handle things with anger and don't think, things may get worse than

they really need to.

Hurting other people isn't the answer either. If you are frustrated for a

good reason, such as they are hurting you, then talk to a grown up or elder or

go to the person directly and ask them nicely to stop. If things do not

end then it would be a good idea to ask for help from an elder you trust.

And everyone looses sometimes. People see a good sport when you are okay

with the loss and keep working hard to turn it into a win!

There are tons of things that we can get overly obsessed with and thats

something we need to be careful of and watch ourselves on.

In the first part of the verse it says " Come together".

What does that mean? And your reply is, "Well duh! It means come together,

am I right or am I right?"

Well yeah, your right. :) But lets look a little deaper into it, k?

If all of us lack self-control...what will "coming together" do?

Think of it this way-

Satan is this super big buff bad guy who is trying to prevent you

from getting somewhere and break you, mkay?

You trust God. You love God. But you have made some mistakes. Doesn't

sound like it will be too easy for you, now does it?

Now think of it this way-

Satan- big buff guy

You and a TON of other people- who are all followers of Christ! :D

It sounds like you got a lot better chance, doesn't it? Plus you all have

this SUPER AWESOME God to lead you!!

So when it says to come together it meens encourage, love, give advice,

take advice to the others around you. Sometimes it could be a little more

general. God calls us to come together to fight all the evil that is put

before us.

For a little more on the subject pick up your bible and look

up the following verses (feel free to do some of your own research)-

2 Peter 1:5-7

Galations 5:22-23

Please right down any thoughts that you have had along this read, or even

later on in the day! Also, we would love to see any verses that you might

have found while doing some studies. :)

Anyways...so thats it! Please let me know what you think. I am always open to

Hello to ALL my dear friends!

I think I will do a small update real quick, k?

So recently I have had football, voice lessons, and SCHOOL!! AHHH!!

Soooo....

School is going good. :) Not too bad...

I have started a new book that is totaly killing me. ick. It's hard. And an intense study. The book is called Starting Points.

Ummm...flagfootball!! YAY I'm so happy it has started again! Our first game was last Saturday. It went really good. We got poored on but that just makes it all the more fun, right?! :) I think the team I was on won...I think.

And voice lessons...well those are going good. I just started. I've been wanting to learn how to harmonize and just improve my voice. Be stronger and be able to sing out more, ya know? It is a little nerve wrecking but it's going good. So far I am working on My Favorite Things from Mery Poppins and Once Upon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty ( I hope I spelled those right??).

Um...so yeah! Thats my lil update. All you people can comment on my rediculousness. lol

Aug. 22, 2009 - ~* News From A Land Far Far Away*~

Hello to all my dear HSB friends! :D

Wow! you guys are amazing! I got 23 commenst on my previous entry. :D Thats the most I think I've ever gotten on one entry. YOU GUYS ROCK! (guys counts girls lol)

Well...I am doing good I'm just SUPER sore. lol I went to some caves with a whole bunch of friends and climbed up an 8ft wall that goes strait up and down with just one knotch in it to put your foot in. Otherwise your just grabbing onto anything that you can with your hands and the whole place is watery slippery, it was rather scarey. But I'm proud of myself cause I made it up all by myself. :D lol

After that everyone (and more) came to my house and we had dinner, smore, and we PARTAYED! WOOT! It was a lot of fun! I love my friends and family!! :D

Today we are going to a pool partay thing!! :D I don't know how i'm going swim with my leg killing me, but it should be a blast! And most of the people I saw yesterday I'll be seeing today, WOOT! haha It's kinda funny how thats working out.

Umm...right now the weather is beautiful! It's nice a cool and sunny. I should really be outsitde but I'm inside just friend my brain with games on facebook and writting entrys on HSB and wanting to chat with friends on e-mail. lol Oh well...*sigh*

My little brother is playing games with a friend so I'm not the only one friend my brain, right? I guess that should make me feal better but it doesn't much. lol

I am going to try and learn some elvish with a friend of mine. So I might be useing some stuff on here just to practice. I'm terrible at remembering so don't think I'll be memorizing stuff super fast. lol

It will take a REALLY long time for me to just get a tiny bit of the language memorized probably. But it shall be fun. :)

Right now I am working on the Two Towers. I'm enjoying it very much. It's interesting to read the books after watching the movies so many times. The battle of Helms Deap was kinda strange to me in the book. It just happened really fast to me, and it didn't seem to like....dramatic. I don't know. It's kinda hard to explain but it's something like that. What do you all think about the movie compared to the book?

I like them both VERY MUCH! I love the history and detail that Tolkien has put into his work.

I think it would take a very long time to know pretty much everything about Middle Earth and his creations.

But I am working on it. Slowly.

Anyways!...I should go now. Maybe I'll got outside and get some good pictures for you all to see!

Hello Everyone!! :D

I hope you all are doing well.

I am doing great! And I would tell you whats been going but nothing really at all has been going. :\

But I will share with you some, or a lot, of pictures. :) Someone said that they like looking at my pictures and that I should post more. I don't remember who that was but here you go! I hope you all enjoy. :) And I always love hearing your opinions about my stuff.

This little fellow has been living in our garden along with his buddies for some time now. They are so cute! And I've gotten plenty of pictures of them but this will do for now. :)

I thought this was just kinda pretty. :)

This Hummingbird comes by a lot. And since I was inside I FINALY got a picture of him!! :D

I called this one "Holding Life". My little brother found this tiny frog. Isn't he CUTE?

This frog I thought was pretty cool, what do you think?

...Perty flower. :)

Isn't that bird just gorgeous? We see them around a LOT. I just LOVe them. :D

Well Hello to all!! :D

It looks like I have 499 comments!!!! So one more and I've got 500!!!! AHHH!!! YAY!!!

So maybe I'll make an award for the person who gets my 500th comment. Since it is half a thousand comments!! YIKES!! lol

SO...yesterday I went to the fair. My feet hurt like crazy cause I was at the fair ALL STINKIN DAY!! So now i have 4 blister 1 of which has already popped! ouch.

I had a TON of fun! I am not normally a ride person but yesterday I went on the most rides I think I have ever gone on!...most of the cause of that was  that I was with a whole bunch of friends. XP

But I'm glad I went on them! I had a lot of fun.

I entered some photo into the photo contest and I got 3 second places and 1 third place. :) Which isn't too bad for my first time. :D But I still wish I had gotten a blue. XD hehe

Today I was hoping to just sit around but it looks like I have an ortho appt. But I am happy cause I think I might be getting my retainer out!! WOOT WOOT!!!  But we'll see. I might need to keep it in even LONGER! AH!!!

But I am doing good.

Heylo everyone!! :D

Well I thought I would just post a normal about my life entry since I like never do that. lol

My summer has been great! A lot of just hanging out around home and such.

I have been to a few partys, gone swimming a couple times, and so on and such.

Today I went to a swimming party that some of my friends invited me to! It was a lot of fun and I had

a really good time just hanging and swimming. :D

Umm...life is good. lol  I haven't been able to airsoft like at all lately with my team cause every time they have a game we are gone! It's been rather anoying...but I can't wait for the next time! :D

I have my new camera so I've been having a ton of fun with it!...(As you may have noticed with all the pictures I've suddenly posted XP)

Umm...yeah! Band stuff is going good. I'll be trying out for the band till sometime in December and THEN they'll make a decision. I'm not so much looking forward to that day. kinda. lol

I really hope I make it but if I want to I think I really need to step it up and kinda get our of my comfort zone.

Cause right now I still feal a little weird around them just singing and rocking out and such. I'm not type that just goes off doing crazy random stuff. I'm very reserved. XD

But thats a bad  thing...unless it's a little too reserved...which I hope I'm not.

Anyhoo!!!! Yeap! So thats kinda whats been going on in my life these days.

Well hello all! :D

I hope you are well and enjoying yourselves in this beautiful weather, or even if you don't have beautiful weather I hope you are enjoying yourself! :)

I am doing very well. Today we are having a party at my house for a group that my family is apart of.

So I am very excited about that.

Recently I have played outside a lot even though the heat has been close to unbearable.

Well the other day I played outside all morning and got a big burn and a big tan. So I look much darker but back is pretty red. lol It has been hard to do my arm work outs because then my back rubs agaisn't the bench and such and I have a hard time sleaping because that rubs on my back. But I'll servive, thankfuly! ;)

I have not been super busy lately. I have been trying to have band practices often though, even though a coupke of my friends work. :\ So I have been a little busy with band stuff.

Well I am back into reading LOTR. I finnished the Fellowship not too long ago but I had a long enough break. I couldn't find our smaller Two Towers book untill recently so I was just able to start it this morning, sadly.  But I am already I think almost done with the second chapter, I think...but I'm not totaly sure. I have been busy preparing for the party so I haven't had much time to read.

I was just kind of thinking about something. If you do not already know I have written previously about some chapters in The Fellowship of the Ring. So recently I had a small thought about the 2nd book.

(If you have not read the Two Towers and don't want it to be spoiled, don't read the following...but I suggest you read the book cause it's super awesome!!)

I was thinking about when Frodo has to make the decision to go alone and face the darkness and evil of mordor by himself or to risk his friends lives and bring them along. He knows he should go alone but is hard to leave. In the end he chooses to leave for reasons that I'm not going to explain. But he tries to go alone.

Anyways...so when he is leaving Sam his strusty a loyal friend finds him and wont let him go alone.

After a little bit of argueing (though it doesn't last long because of Sam's stuborness) Frodo agrees to let Sam come with him to Mordor and to what he thinks very likely to be his death.

Our lives can in a way relate to that.

We are faced with the choice to go alone into the world of evil and try and destroy it by ourselves. Sometimes we figure that there is no one that could help us in a sittuation like that, but there is.

OUR Samwise is God. He knows where we are going and will go with us wherever we go. He will not let us down and will be with us to not only the death but after that in Heaven.

So when you are faced with the choice to go alone. Don't. Even if you want to go alone God will come. He will be by your side through everything.

Really this kind of reminds me of the song by Tenth Avenue North called "By Your Side". It's a really good song. I'll have to add it to my playlist so you all can listen to it. :)

Anyways...so those are my thoughts. My time is running out on the computer so I should go.

Hello everyone!

I got a new camer recently so I thought I would share some of the pictures I took! :)

I am so happy!..SUPER HAPPY. lol I have enjoyed it very much. My parents supprised me with it last night.

My dad said he was going to get his out and when he opened his case he was like "This isn't mine?" lol And then I relized that that was kinda odd and then I said "Is that mine?" And get smiled and I screamed and I even cried I was SO HAPPY AND FREAKED OUT!

So there you go. Thats my story. So here are the pictures!

so yesterady I also went shopping with my mom for hours and got some really pretty close. I'm not going to post pictures of those. lol Umm...so I had a blast with her my feet just hurt really bad! hehe

Hey again! :)

Well in my last entry I wrote about some of my thoughts about the first chapter in The Fellowship of the Ring. I also said I had some more thoughts so I'll share those now.

These are a little shorter than before. :) But as I'm writing I might it longer o-O...so just be prepared. k! :)

My Thoughts On 'Evil in the world and how it relates to the ring'-

"three Rings for the Elven-Kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-Lords in their  halls of stone

Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to die,

one for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

one rings to rule them all, one Ring to find them,

one Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

In the lord of the rings the ring is a great weapon made in the fires of Mt.Doom.

It was made by evil and is evil. It tempts people and if worn and owned for long enough it will take that person over. it will deform their physical appearance and their mental thoughts.

The ring is similar to the evil in our lives. When we do wrong things so many times and use evil things enough it can consume out lives.

Maybe not changing our physical appearance the same way the rings does, but we have things these days such as piercings, plastic surgery, and cutting. The evil in this world can also  change our hearts and minds.

Things like these not only hurt us but they can also hurt others just like Gollum or Frodo (the ring bearers) not only can hurt themselves but they affect the lives of the Dwarfs, Elves, and Men in Middle Earth, even fellow hobbits.

Frodo and Gollum are both rings bearers at different times, but they made different choices in how they dealt with this tempting power.

Gollum kept the ring. He killed someone close to him, ran away from home (and was kinda banished too), forgot his own name in exchange for a new one, and over time was slowly corrupted.

In the end he lost his life to the ring that he held so precious. But it died with him.

Frodo took the responsibility of holding the evil in his hand but not using it (well he did...but you get what I mean ;) ) He travelled far and with help from friends he made it to Mt.Doom and helped destroy the ring. ( I saw helped cause technically he didn't really. )

What do we do with all the temptations in our lives these days? Do we stare at the tv when a bad commercial comes on, or do we change the channel or just turn the tv offf? Do we look through magazines full of junk at the store, or do we turn away and look at our beautiful mom/awesome dad!?

do we hold on to it untill it destroys us? Or do we over come and destroy it?

God gave us a choice.

I pray that the people of this world will choose to over come and destroy.

I pray for those like Bilbo who had the evil in their lives for so long...and I pray that they will make the same decision that he did...and he gave it up.

These are my thoughts.
