~* News From A Land Far Far Away*~

Hey again! :)

Well in my last entry I wrote about some of my thoughts about the first chapter in The Fellowship of the Ring. I also said I had some more thoughts so I'll share those now.

These are a little shorter than before. :) But as I'm writing I might it longer o-O...so just be prepared. k! :)

My Thoughts On 'Evil in the world and how it relates to the ring'-

"three Rings for the Elven-Kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-Lords in their  halls of stone

Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to die,

one for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

one rings to rule them all, one Ring to find them,

one Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

In the lord of the rings the ring is a great weapon made in the fires of Mt.Doom.

It was made by evil and is evil. It tempts people and if worn and owned for long enough it will take that person over. it will deform their physical appearance and their mental thoughts.

The ring is similar to the evil in our lives. When we do wrong things so many times and use evil things enough it can consume out lives.

Maybe not changing our physical appearance the same way the rings does, but we have things these days such as piercings, plastic surgery, and cutting. The evil in this world can also  change our hearts and minds.

Things like these not only hurt us but they can also hurt others just like Gollum or Frodo (the ring bearers) not only can hurt themselves but they affect the lives of the Dwarfs, Elves, and Men in Middle Earth, even fellow hobbits.

Frodo and Gollum are both rings bearers at different times, but they made different choices in how they dealt with this tempting power.

Gollum kept the ring. He killed someone close to him, ran away from home (and was kinda banished too), forgot his own name in exchange for a new one, and over time was slowly corrupted.

In the end he lost his life to the ring that he held so precious. But it died with him.

Frodo took the responsibility of holding the evil in his hand but not using it (well he did...but you get what I mean ;) ) He travelled far and with help from friends he made it to Mt.Doom and helped destroy the ring. ( I saw helped cause technically he didn't really. )

What do we do with all the temptations in our lives these days? Do we stare at the tv when a bad commercial comes on, or do we change the channel or just turn the tv offf? Do we look through magazines full of junk at the store, or do we turn away and look at our beautiful mom/awesome dad!?

do we hold on to it untill it destroys us? Or do we over come and destroy it?

God gave us a choice.

I pray that the people of this world will choose to over come and destroy.

I pray for those like Bilbo who had the evil in their lives for so long...and I pray that they will make the same decision that he did...and he gave it up.

These are my thoughts.

~*News From A Land Far Far Away*~

Hey ya all!

How are you doing?

I am doing great!...just enjoying the beautiful weather outside.  :)
Nothing hardly has happened besides band practice which I had yesterday.
It went good but our drummer had to leave early...sadly. But it was a ton of fun!
I can't to hear in 6 months weither or not I made it into the band. But I'll get to have band practices with
the for a while. :D

Anyways...Spitfires asked my to post some of my thoughts on LOTR (The Fellowship of the Ring).
So here are my thoughts that I have had on the first chapter.

Chapter 1. A Long-Expected Party

(Thoughts by Sheilla Kiwi)

My point starts  now with Gandalf arriving to see his friend (Bilbo) off. Gandalf and bolbo have an argument over weither or not Bolbo should leave or take the ring. Gandalf knows that it is growing to be too important in Bilbo's life, especially after bilbo calls it 'His precious'. Bilbo may know that also but he also know he want it, and he wants it bad, plus it IS his. in the end Gandalf convinces Bolbo to let the ring go and Bilbo finds this to be a relief.

In this world and time we livein there are so many things that we try and hold onto because we fell we 'need' it. more like we want it.
We live a life always wanting more...untill...a friend like Gandalf comes along and tell ya that you're too consumed with this evil...so you must let it go.
if you choose to hold on to it you will continue to slowly rot  and over time possibly die from it.
if you choose to let it go, it opens a door to a hwole new life! You feel relief.
You will still be scarred from you previous dealings but that can be over whelmed by the good that runs in to take over.

God is like Gandalf. He runs into a our lives that are full of junk. We do drugs, have sex beyond marriage, cuss with no end. But God just bursts into our lives suddenly and gives us a knock on the door that we desperately needed. I think all of us have had a time like that...or will. I know I have.

God has done his part by knocking on the door...now...will you open the door?


I do have some more thoughts but I do not think I will post them right now. Maybe next time.

News From a Land Far Far Away

Hello Everyone!

I apologize for not writting often but I do not know what to write about since atleast half the things I do I'm not aloud to tell you about (for security reasons...parents said.).

But here I am writting yet another entry for you all to read and then comment on. hehe

Well I went to a formal dance recently and I had someone on here request that I post pictures of my dress. So here is a picture-

I took this picture on a photo trip I went on with some friends. We drove a LONG WAYS to get here but I think it was worth it cause the place and view was so beautiful!

Hello!

I'm sorry I have not been on much...or writting much...it just takes so much time and I have other things to do. But I thought I would say hi. How are you all doing?

Right now i'm doing okay. I have been having trouble with allergies as some you of might understand. Right now all the farmers and gonna be mowing their lawns which is a killer.  So I have had some trouble with assma and intchy eyes. bleh.

Anyways...I should post some more picture for ya all. If I do they'll be on my office blog most likely. so if you would like you can check those out.

Sorry I haven't been posting a whole lot...it just takes up so much time and I have so much stuff to do on the computer right now.

But here I am...writting to you. =D

So lately we have been looking for a church...we are finnishing up looking at our first church...and so far I'm loving it!

I have still been doing arisoft and staying active. I love it!

I have been working out 4 times a week and just started doing it 5 times a week. So  yeah! I'm trying to loose a little weight and mainly just get in better shape...a better shape than round. lol

I'm also going to change my template soon...I don't like the one I have right now...it's just to dark...or whatever..I just want to change it! lol

And last of all...I'm sick...*tear*

airsoft

So today I had an all day airsoft game with our airsoft team...and it rocked! I shot a few people and I got shot a few times. lol

Sorry I haven't posted on here in so long I've just had nothing to talk about.

Recenlty we left our church so tomorrow will be our first day without a church. *sigh*

So yeah.  I am doing good. I'm doing okay with school...nothing new.
