• Nov. 9, 2008 - Election results

So are election has come and past , It was a good fight. Unfortunately we lost and Barack obama is The elected president. This is sad new for America that once was so proudly established on free roots and by christian founders, Some people think we won't survive his 4 yr term, some think we will have a christian revival. Others think we are living in the end times. What do you guys on hsb think? Is America going to get worse. Does  it scare any of you since we are the next generation? What can do to insprie a better world?

Prayers and blessings,

Rebecca

Rebecca,

I never asked you to honor him, simply to respect him.

Anyways, that's beside the point. You can choose not to respect our leader or not.

I think that Barack Obama does not have good moral values--I don't agree with him on issues such as abortion and gay marriage.

I don't quite understand his plan for the economy, so I can't argue on most of those issues, but I can on some...

I don't think he should pull our troops our of Iraq -- we haven't lost yet.

I don't think he should raise taxes.

The list could go on and on... So I'll stop now, before this comment becomes a mile long... the font is really big! =)

I think that this is a half & half situation.
I think hat we should be excited that a black senator became
president.
I am disgusted with gay marriage and am horrified at abortion, though.
So that is my view.
My parents had to go threw Bill Clinton and I think we can keep going with Obama.

Cheers,
Joshua

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. But please notice that I said that, "he deserves our respect". I didn't say, "you have to respect him."

I don't think he is the antichrist or anything. I think that we're going to have four years of damage that is going to take a long time to heal, but I think there will be a conservative revival and comeback as there has been in the past and perhaps with it a Christian revival as well.

Exactly! One thing that makes me feel less sad about Obama election is that at least Hilary Clinton's not president!

• Nov. 14, 2008 - Obama as Prresident

It was a close election, and even though Obama is president ( to-be), we must keep in mind that God wouldn't have put him in that position if he didn't want him there. To get mad at Obama's upcoming presidency is to get mad at God's plan. I don't suggest going against God. Our greatest weopon is prayer. Pray that the Lord will change Obama's heart to love his creator. Would't that be terrible for States if Obama became a Christian!

I don't think he's the anti-christ.

But yeah, the thought of having him as president isn't really a pleasant one... :(

I'm pretty much against everything he's for.

Though I do think it's awesome a black man is now the president.

I think it is ridiculous that Christian Americans are scared. This shows a lamentable lack of trust in God. We should be glad our country has been able to step past the racial bounderies, unfortunately from one extreme to another (electing some one just because he is black)
Not that I voted for Barack Obama, but God has his plan.
There is a really good, 7 min. John Piper sermon on youtube about this.
