My 4-H dog club is going to Wolf Park today!

Wolf Park is a wolf preserve where they teach you about different wolves, coyotes, foxes and buffalo! 

Here is a picture of one of my favorite wolves (Wotan) and a very cute fox (Basil)!

It is August And it is Freezing! Where we live it should be around 85-90 degrees. But instead of that it is the high of 74 :-(  I do not like cold weather.

Last weekend myself and some of my dog club friends went down to the state fair to show our dogs! 

We had a blast. :-)  We were there for two days. 

The first day was obedience.  This is where you train your dog to sit, stay, heel, down, stand stay, and recall.  Glory and I did ok.  She is still a puppy, so I was not expecting her to do perfect.  But, she did better at State then she did at our county 4-H fair!  Good job Glory!  :-)

The next day was showmanship!!!!!!!!  I LOVE showmanship.  :-)

Showmanship is where the judge looks at you and judges you on how good you show your dog.  You have to place the dog's feet and know how to gate with them etc.  There is more to do...but you get the idea.  :-)

My leader said that I did a very good job in my show! Glory did very good too :-)

After I was done showing some of us kids played card games.   Then our dog club leader got some chocolate covered bacon! Yes,  chocolate covered bacon! We all tried it, it was GROSS!! :-|   ICK!!!!

After all the kids and dogs showed they had call backs.  A call back is when the judge likes you and she or he will call you back and see you show again.  It is really good to be called back...especially at the State Fair!!  :-)  

After the day was over they had the awards!   I got.......18th place out of 200 people!!!   I was so happy!!   :-)  I got a big beautiful blue ribbon! 

Two people out of our club placed which is very good!  We had seven club members go to State this year.  Our dog club has 29 members.

One award was in showmanship (me) and another was in agility (my friend)!  :-)   It was neat representing our county at the Indy State Fair this year!

Thank you everybody for commenting on my birthday! :-)

It has been a very busy month!  At the beginning of the month I had the 4-H fair.  I was VERY busy with that for 2 full weeks.  Then we had to rest.  We have finally put up our above ground blue pool that we got last year at the end of the season.  And then before i knew it it was my birthday!  :-)

So, I hope that I will be able to blog more as the summer goes on!

Thank you everybody who prayed for my friend!

He is out of the hospital and as far as I know  he is not 100% better, but doing well! :-)

I have a big prayer request to ask!

One of my friends had to go to the hospital yesterday.

He was recovering from outpatient surgery and something went wrong so he was admitted to the hospital!  Please pray that he will recover soon.  Thank you so much!

8. Specify That Your Drive-through Order Is 'To Go'.

9.   Sing Along At The Opera.

10.   Five Days In Advance, Tell Your Friends You Can't Attend Their Party Because You have a headache.

11.   When The Money Comes Out The ATM, Scream 'I Won!   I Won!'

12. When Leaving the Zoo, Start Running towards the Parking lot, Yelling 'Run For Your Lives!  They're Loose!'

The tittle says it all. 

My mom and I were coming home from 4-H Dog club Monday night.  My dog Glory was with us also.  We (Glory and I) were in the back seat of the van.

We were about a mile from our house.  I was telling my mom something and I got interrupted when my mom yelled.  yickes!

If any of you have ever hit a deer then you know that it is LOUD. I heard a loud crunch and bang.  I was thinking what the goodness just happend?   

My mom said we just hit a deer!  It took a little while to settled down and breath.  We didn't even stop after we hit the deer because it happened so fast.  

After we got home we got out of the van and looked at the front.  It was all "shmooshed" in. 

My mom's shoulder kinda hurts but besides that we are fine!    PTL
