Sunshine and fun

To day has been one great adventure for Ash and her new dog. She has played all day wth her. This poor dog is probably exhausted. Ash has left her for the entire day. When Ash was doing school Cloe Mathilda sat right under feet and slept until school was over.  She seems to have adjusted very well. Ash, that is. I wasn't real sure if she would ignore her after a while but she has just been fasinated by her. She is not a jumpy kind of dog and that is on the plus side. I don't think ash would take to one who was. However, if Ash sits beside her she will try to lay in her lap.LOL

Right now they are still romping in the sunshine.Ash hasn't climbed into the treehouse once today! When the dog figures out she can climb the stairs then I am sure they will both be up there. I never thought I would say this but I thank God for this dog that has taken Ash's mind off all that has been going on around here.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You so much that you know what is needed even when we do not. I have prayed for Ash not to be affected by all this and You had the perfect answer. I would never have thought that a dog would be what she needed but I can see that You had the perfect plan as always.

Father, thank You that You have already made provisions for what we need. I love You, Lord God, and want to be the best witness for you that I can be. I want to be the woman that you wnat me to be. Lord, Guide me in Your ways.

In Jesus' Name

Amen

Australian Shepherds

Well today we are getting a dog. She is 1 yr and 1 month old. She is a blue-eyed blue merle. Ashley is very excited. I am a little leary since I haven't ever really been much of a dog person. I am trying very hard to have a good attitude about it since it means so much to Jess and Ashley. Jess says she seems very timid and that worries me. I would not want the neighbors dogs to bother her. I told him she will have to be kept close until he gets a fence up. but that won't be a problem cause she can stay on the back deck. He will just put a gate (since I have wanted a gate there any way.)

Then during the day when Ash and I are outside she can run and play. I think that she will get over the timidness in time. I draw the line at critters in the house. I don't know that I could have that but she would be fine on the back porch. It is large and covered. and she could have the fans on if need be in this Texas heat. LOL. Maybe the cats won't pick on her.

Well time for school.

Have goodday

OH we are changing her name from Lady to Mathilda

Life,Love, Laughter, Depression

Yesterday was so much better, Thank You Preschoolmommy for your words of encouragment. You will never know how much it lifted me. I feel so alone in this sometimes that I forget that others sometime suffer as well.

We went to Home Depot for the craft that they have on the 1st Sat. of every month. Ashley And Jess made a birdfeeder together. Then we went with him to work. Ash and i sat on a blanket and read the bible together. Then she decided to teach me Yoga that she had learned at Girl Scout Camp. She said keep your eyes shut and go oohhmmmm. She demonstrated to me and it was so cute that I couldn't help laughing. We laughed together for a good 15 minutes. We laughed so hard that my sides are sore today. It felt so good to laugh. thank God for the joy He gives.

Overcoming Depression with God's Help

Depression is a funny thing. It makesyou tired and unable to concentrate. when you are homeschooling it make you feel so guilty for failing your child. Ashley is a very sweet child. I don't want what I am going through to mess up her life. I will get through this by the grace of God. I know that he hears my prayers. I am stilling praying for answers to our problems

God is bigger than all of this.

Ashley did several sheets of time and money then we started on Considering God's Creation. Learning about the cretion- first lesson. I went to get the cd for it and it was broken. I called the company that I purchased it from and they said they would send a replacement. I pray that it doesnt take too long. I think maybe we will make a lapbook on the 7 Days of Creation. Ash would like that. I pray I can find the strength to get the materials together. that will buy us some time. until the cd comes in.

God has given me joy and saten has tried to take it away. In Jesus Name, This spirit of depression will go away.

So here it is wednesday

So here it is wednesday and I have gotten half the things done that I had planned to do. Ashley did her school work and finished up early. Of course she always does on library day. That is one of her favorite things to do, check out books, usually about horses.

In our little town they post the obituaries on the doors of all the businesses, and everyone always checks to make sure that they aren't on the door. I was shocked to learn that a man whom we knew was listed on the library door. He was only 60. That is only a few years older than we are. He was in pretty good health, as far as anyone knew. He just sat down and died. Our days are numbered on this earth. The next life is better than this one. So I guess I should be less upset. But I am upset, for his family and for our community. We are richer for having known him and poorer in his leaving.

Yesterday was Girl Scouts. Yea cookie time. We are signed up for several booths but we don't get into it as do so many others. One mother was boasting that her child had sold over 600 boxes. WOW.  I just had to ask where and how? I should have known, the child didn't actually sell that many. Mom and Dad did it for her at their jobs. Ashley sold 10 boxes.  All by herself. I'm proud of her. But  I am especially pleased with the hard work these parents put in selling GS cookies. Afer all, the money goes to the troops and service units. Folks like those make it possible for our troop to do much more than they would be able to do if all the girls did their own selling. No one has to pay dues or camping fees orany of the usual things. They don't have to take turns bringing snacks. And next week end we are going camping.

We might even get the Polar Bear Patches. BRRR. We are pretty excited around here. It is Ashleys first girl scout camping trip.

Time to finish up dinner. Chicken and rice, black beans and cole slaw. After that a long soak in the tub.

Goodnight all.

Sunday Night

AWANAS is Ash's favorite "class". She is so pleased to be learning scripture. it makes me smile to see the pleasure she derives from knowing God's word.

She finished her blue book and She started in her green book tonight. She has finished the rank path in just one night so that she will recieve her gold crown and patch. She is excited at the idea of going on to TNT next semester.

And tomorrow will be a big day for her again. It is the first day of Co-Op since the Christmas Holidays. I can't wait to see everyone again, either. I have really missed my Kiddo's in scrapbooking class.

So with that I guess that I should go and prepare for them.

Today is gone

Today and yesterday were those kind of days. You know the kind...........you get up in the morning all set to accomplish great things. Then real life sets in. We own a construction company so that should tell you a lot. Trying to get suppliers and subcontractors and homeowners all on the same page(the homeowners page is the most important one). And try to make sure that Ash doesn't get left out. because she is the reason toget up in the morning. Yes now we are back to accomplishing great things. And we didn't do any math pages but we did go over invoices and she checked the figures. We didn't do grammer or handwriting but she did write out my to do list.  As far as reading she read a new contract aloud and tried to understand it. And science was seeing the rainbow create in a rainless sky. But the grandest thing of all was "I love being with my Mommy and Daddy".
