Walking Therein

What does Gena Suarez Say? Keep Them Home Where They Belong??? AMEN To That!

Visit Spunky Homeschool and read this article about how the laws are changing to force children to learn about sexuality, regardless of historical truth or beliefs of the family.  You know, I would say it is unbelieveable, but things are getting less and less unbelieveable.

We live in a sinful world, and it is getting worse.  This is to be expected  It is predicted / foretold in Scripture.  It is foretold not just so we will recognize signs as they happen, but so that we will know that God is still in control.  We are going to see things like this happen, and we can still take heart and trust in the LORD.

He knew that issues such as choices of sexuality would become a legislated debate in our world.  He also knew that this whole redefining gender and marriage would become so important that governments would try to demand that our children be taught history based on a sexual identity.

He knew that liberal men would tell Christians that they cannot legislate morality, then do it themselves.  We have been discussing this quite a bit here in our household.  We hear daily of the State legislating morality, all under the guise of freedom from religion.  We can't mix church and state issues like morality, but the state can.  They cannot restrict the public school dress code, enforcing a modest morality, but they can certainly not enforce a dress code, thereby issuing and approving an immodest morality.

Probably what worries me most about public schools teaching about the sexuality of historical men and women is their propensity to leave out truth and interject their own opinions.  I read on a Lesbian, T-gender site last week that they were celebrating Hans Christian Anderson's birthday, because he was "most likely" a homosexual, based on his writings .  What?  So, how long before that is repeated enough that it becomes a historical fact?

As a Believer and Follower of Jesus, I know that God is not going to force us into submission.  He gives us each a free choice of what and whom we choose to believe. He will allow man to redefine His Creation, because they have that choice.

It has to grieve Him terribly that He created us in His image, gave us all He had, and we still run after piddly ideas based on our own limited knowledge.  History has proven that we can make choices based on our grand wisdom, and in retrospect, our wisdom was nothing.  We are still trying to improve on perfection.  No, not perfection in an earthly sense, but in a Godly sense.  Perfection that looks toward God and His plan, thought we are in our fallen state.

I believe we will be seeing every and any issue debated that has to do with Creation. We have seen so much already.  To degrade and redefine the family is the bottom line for legislated morality.   Morality... you know, that issue that you can't legislate, because of its religious overtones?

Read on about how the people of Spain passed new laws that will further debase the roles God gave to parents.

I am proud to be called Mommy by 7 little (some not-so-little) human Creations of God.  I hope I would never hear any child or grandchild refer to me or their parents as a "progenitor" or "proge".  UGH! Where did the warmth of terms of endearment go?

The crazy thing is that this was done so same-sex parents would not feel discriminated against.... and, of course, there are already some who are offended by this gender-neutral term - would you believe it is some dissident Lesbian groups?  They feel the term is too masculine!

Dear LORD, please give us the strength to trust in you as we live in a world on its way to hell.  Help us not to be fearful, but to seek you in these issues. Give us your eyes to know sin and your heart to love in spite of it.  Give us wisdom to shield our children from things that will take them away from you and wisdom to lead them to discernment.  Help us Jesus, to live as you did.  Help us Holy Spirit, to walk therein.

Wishing you Many Blessings and Teachable Moments!

Amen Sister

3:21 PM, Friday, April 21, 2006 .. Posted by Anonymous
Hi Jacque! All I can say is a resounding "Amen" to your prayer. It is indeed a strange world we are raising our precious children face. It makes me even more determined to impart as much Godly wisdom and pray without ceasing for them as much as possible.

Now, for my questions: How can I add someone to my friend list? I have seen many blogs that I indentified with, but couldn't figure out how to put them on my friend list. My other question is, what is a trackback? How would I need/use it?

God bless you in your daily walk!

Melinda
