Walking Therein

Thank You, LORD, For Helping Me Through All We Did This Past Week!!

We have had such a busy week this past week!!

And, I know it, because I am so completely exhausted!!

This past week was very fruitful.  The thing I can definitely say about my life at present is that I am learning constantly. I am becoming a more organized person.  I am learning how to let go of some of the vast amounts of STUFF we - no, I - have stored for years. As a result of these 2 areas, I am becoming a better wife...  which is a goal at the very top of  my list... right after being a God-fearing and honoring woman!

I am also learning to keep my mouth closed... well, I am trying very, very hard. And, THAT one is probably the best lesson I can learn for my LORD and My Sweetie!   As you are looking at my blog, you will see how that may be a difficult thing for me to do.  Difficult, but not impossible!

We got to watch as 7ds10m learned to walk.  He is One who will just go.  He would turn and let go at the beginning of the week, and by Saturday, he was running around, pushing an empty box like a walker.  Now, he has walked on his own, balanced, for approx. 4 feet.  WOW Thank you LORD!

We also got to hear him say his first real word, Mamamamamamama.  I think it is a multi-use word that means, nurse, drink, tired, hold me....

And, he also has perfected his head nod. It is a rapid up-and-down motion when he really wants something.  His chin goes all the way down to his chest. How cute!

We planted our herbs and turned the compost.  We tried our hardest to keep the outside picked up. We continued to convert the Schoolhouse into our CropShop. It was a big job, but it had to be done!  It fit right in with the National Scrapbook Day event that we held on Saturday!! CM has renamed it Memoranza, which I think suits it.

The girls and I had fun, as they took Saxon's online Math Assessment tests.  We also found out where we need to polish up on a few thigs - like fractions!!  At least I passed the Algebra and was passed to their higher level math.   I still may know what I'm talking about!

We were challenged all week by the CHCHC. I read over the devotional quite a bit, and I know that God is working on my heart, whilst the devil is working on my flesh!  He is trying to get my mind there!  I am just thankful for what the Challenge is doing in me, even if I don't get every room done as set by the schedule.  I am also encouraged be Amy's posts.

1dd16 ran our ebay business and readied everything to be mailed.  She has been so good to get a lot of the books and movies we need to get rid of onto the listings.  She also lists Living Water homeschool resources, too! She is an invaluable asset.

My Sweetie and 4ds8 are almost over their poison ivy.  I spent 4/7 of the nights last week helping ds into the shower or with anti-itch meds, etc at pretty much 3 am. I am thankful it is almost gone!  No more of ds's dramatic conclusions of the info we give him - you know, like when I asked him how long he thought he was going to have the poison ivy and he said, "oh, probably 2-3 months.."  I had to tell him it would be, like, only 2-3 more days.  Praise God!

We ended the week with Memoranza. Starting Friday night, the girls loaded up all the supplies and basically catered it, too.  2dd15 made the cheesecake, deviled eggs and all kinds of dishes.  3dd12 baked 2 loaves of bread,  made oatmeal raisin muffins and several dozen cookies. She also helped her sister with other food and helped clean up and put away.   The oldest 2 also went out to the newly-cleaned and organized CropShop and packed up our supplies and packed them into the van.

Of course, being the procrastinator that I can be, I had several things to do for the Memoranza the next day - like, make up and print off the Bingo card, print off some handouts, make and print off the schedules, pick out albums to work on and pictures to put in them.....

We did all this, plus all the everyday things we usually do.  It was a very full week.  I cannot wait to see what we accomplish this week.  I have sent out a notice to my customers that I will be joining my Unit in Warsaw for their Memoranza, and the town garage sale is the coming weekend.  We have plenty already to go to set out!  Thanks to Amy's CHCHC, I am not so afraid to pitch stuff, and it is a real feeling of freedom!

Hi from the UK
Thanks for putting me on your friends list I hace reciprocated. I have been meaning to post a comment for a few days but we have been away to my parents for the weekend an dleft the older three there for the week. I'm feeling a little bereft and the house is too quiet.

Doesn't it motivate you to press on when you have had a great week before? I am looking forward to this week. We have lots of things planned. I can see that I am not the only one that gets a thrill out of a busy week completed with little complications.
