All We Need Is Love ...1 Corinthians 13 Love *Part II*
So, we are getting ready to have our devotional time on Sunday morning, getting all of the children into the same room, seated. I am taking care of 7ds10m. Then, to start our Devotion time, My Sweetie looks at all of the children and says, " We are going to be looking at 1Corinthians 13, and memorize every verse until we can all say it well." He then goes on to tell them that we all need a little more love for one another, and the only way we are going to know how to do that is to get it into our hearts!
All I could say was, " HAVE YOU BEEN READING MY BLOG ?
I would have fallen onto the floor, had I not already been sitting on it. No, it is not because I think My Sweetie is out-of-touch or uncapable of leading his family. Quite the contrary. I feel he is very capable. I know he feels he lacks sometimes. I guess I just underestimated the LORD.
I was just speechless that God would use something as divisive in our family as the unkindness that was on a constant rampage recently to unite My Sweetie and myself Spiritually. Does that even make sense?
It sure did on Sunday. I sat there, totally captivated as he taught a short synopsis of the chapter. I was amazed when he had them all repeat it together. I was full of joy unspeakable when he had them each repeat it... and they could! Our 2 1/2yo repeated it back to me, then with us as we did it a final time. YAY!
The most rewarding part so far is that we are working on it daily, and I am hearing the children kindly reminding each other:
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
It is a promising venture. It is the Word of God, and He has promised: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We are wonderfully blessed with husbands that will take the time and have a passion to lead our families in the ways of the Lord. I thank God daily that my husband has become a true leader for us. I know you are proud of your dh. Extra blessing on him!

This is the curriculum that I'm working on right now with my kids before "making it official"... it stresses learning the verse as well as the meaning and breaks down and explains what "true love" really is.
Blessings,
Amy
