Walking Therein

We Must Do What We Can With The Time Given

  Oh how I long to sit on my 'blog' all day and expound the many ramblings and soapboxes... do you?

   But, in the grand scheme of things, that is not only not a priority, it is not possible. As I type this, I am getting things ready to go on a 5-day short trip to the Grandparents who live about 4 1/2 hours away. We haven't done this for 2 years, and we are all excited.  We also get to see my Grandma, the children's Great-Grandma (how exciting).  The only drawback is that My Sweetie won't be able to go.  Thank you, LORD, for 3 mature young ladies on whom I can depend to be my Helpers!

   We wanted to wait 'til My Sweetie could go, but, Grandma will be going to Oregon sometime this summer, and we want to make sure we see her without delay.  We may not see her again, because Oregon is not just a short jaunt from Indiana, as you know.

   So, I am not able to post all my many important ideas that you are surely waiting with baited breath to devour!  As if!

   I am thankful God is allowing me to mature in Him.  I am thankful that I am allowing Him to mature me.  It is a hard lesson to know, that He really is better left in control of things of life.  It is a hard thing to follow the WORD in the 21st century, to be a woman of the Bible - Titus 2.

   I cannot sit on my blog all day, because My Sweetie deserves a wife as God intended him to have. I long to be a doting wife, an excellent home-keeper, a teacher and protector of my children's hearts, a lovely neighbor.  If I can take time to blog about these things, then Praise God. If I don't have the time, because I am trying to keep up on the CHCHC, packing to go on a much-needed family visit or even waiting to get on my blog, because my dear daughters are researching and learning on theirs, then, I am content to do so.

   Just yesterday, I received the Ergo Organic My Sweetie got me, and I can now wear 1 of the boys as I do many things around the house (in more comfort than the backpack). Some things, like nursing a baby or talking on the phone, I can do while blogging.  I can even let the Littles read and do workbooks while I am blogging.  My older dd's are old enough to keep home and school, while helping with the Littles as I blog. However, there are a lot things I cannot do while blogging....

     I can garden with the Ergo, but not while blogging; I can cook with the Ergo, but not while blogging; I can lead and discipline with the Ergo, but not while blogging; I can pack and do laundry with the Ergo, but not while blogging, etc....

    So, as I sit and nurse 7ds10m, I get to blog.  I have gotten up umpteen times to make oatmeal, load the laundry, and check on the Littles, who are retreiving and cleaning out coolers, packing their backpacks with their clothes (oh boy!), and just learning how to get along while doing so!

   The girls are doing their weekly time at the neighbor's, so they are not able to help with them at this time.  He is an older man who pays them to help him around his house.  He doesn't have a Home-Keeper of his own or any children, hence no grandchildren.  He loves our family and has become a good friend, so they value helping him out and contributingtheir earnings to our family.  It's good all the way around and allows the Littles to be here as Littles, too.

    Well, I am thankful to have had time to blog.  Now, I must lay ds10m down to sleep, finish packing, laundry - and get my now muddy Littles into the shower so that we can leave in a bit! Sheesh!  ( ;

    Many Blessings and (sometimes muddy) Teachable Moments!

Ergo

I am hoping that after my husband's surgery I will have enough money left over to buy an Ergo for one of my best friends who is expecting her fourth baby in November!

Have a wonderful time

I love visiting grandparents. My parents live only 45 min. away but in-laws live four hours. I love to blog but finding time is hard. My dh works away from home only 18 hours a week and the rest right here in the middle of our house. I love having him here, and he holds me accountable for my time spent on the computer. Hope you have a refreshing visit with your family.

God bless you on your trip..

and I agree with your thoughts on making the most of our time. MY wish is to sit, read other's blogs, or good books, work on my blog or other writing, scrapbook, did I mention read? :) It is truly a blessing to be reminded daily of what is important and should come before any of my 'wants'--hubby, our children, the house. Not always easy, but always necessary. God bless you in your obedience and have a good trip!
