OK, That Didn't Last Long!

7ds10m was awakened by 6ds2.5.  Then, 6ds2.5, thinking he would JUMP DOWN the stairs, fell all the way down the stairs to my horror (as I heard every bump and bang all the way down!!).  We prayed with him, as we always do in these situations, and I got the frozen peas out and into a towel to put on his head.  How he decided where it hurt is beyond me!

So, I am watching them relax for a couple minutes, and I wanted to check out contest winners.... Take a look at JenIg's Winners.  Her contest question was: Who are a few of the friends you’ve made at HSB… ones you find yourself thinking about, or praying for, throughout the week?

I wanted to post my answer, because the part about My Sweetie is true - and funny... and a friend came over last night, and asked about our blogs - what are they.  My Sweetie smiles and says, "Oh, they're just gossip columns....(smile, haha)."  He is so funny! If he had time, he would have one, too!

May 4th, 2006  - How do you Choose, When You Feel Like HSB is Your Extended Family?

I simply cannot choose.... it depends on my mood, my thought process at the time... or if my girls are talking about their HSB buddies.

I will tell you that My Sweetie thinks we are all pretty well gone-off-the-deep-end! We talk about all of you as though we have known you all our lives and what goes on in your lives are a part of ours.

I read my TOS mag the other day, and got about 10 pages into it, because I had to go over all the bios that are on there.... to get to know my friends better! The girls and I had to converse about things like, "Oh, her hair is different there" or "Look, that's So-n-So."

So, though we have only been a part of this wonderful community for, what? - a month and a 1/2? We think about, pray for, wonder how you are doing often.

Our nearest family members live about an hour away, and we don't talk quite as much as we used to. Grandparents live 400 - 1500 miles away.

We are actually going to go visit Grandpa and Debbie this weekend, and they live in Southern IN. I said to dd's as we planned our trip, "Hey, you know, Bedford is only 1 state away from Tennesee!" DD's did NOT think I was funny. Hey, they wonder about Levi, RedheadRyann and Coie, too! I thought they might be in for a road trip! Guess not! );

Hope your young "Kiddly-wink" is feeling better after his fall. It's amazing how they are so resilient, isn't it? I was helping my ds with his "First Aid" project today and we covered using frozen peas to ease the pain and lessen swelling - he hates eating peas and said we'd have to use frozen sweetcorn instead!!

Sometimes there is nothing like having something exciting to blog about to remind us that wxciting lives aren't always all they are cracked up to be. :-x Still appreciate your thoughts and soapboxes.. My daughters have really enjoyed getting to know your daughters. It has been a source of joy for them since they have very few English -speaking friends here. It's nice to know that I don't have to worry about their correspondence with each other. It is safe and God-honoring. They wanted to start a blog that would glorify Him, never dreaming they would find others who are doing the same. Thank you for training your children carefully.
