Walking Therein

Around Our Homestead

I have been busy adding to our new website. What a slow process. That's ok, though.  The reason it is a slow process is because I have 8 other priorities to take care of... and that is the way it is supposed to be.  ( ;    Well, it's a slow process, too, and probably mainly, because I have 3 other young ladies who are diligently blogging.

That's ok, too, because I love to read what they think about, what is important to them. I love it that they go back and read what they wrote and find the mistakes themselves and correct them.  I love the way their face lights up when people read what they think and find it engaging, intriguing, important -or just plain silly.  What they write is a part of who they are.  Writing itself has become a part of each of them, too.

It is a joy to see them grow as they write. It is a joy to see the changes in their style and just what they think about.  The comments others leave give them cause to think about what they have written and see how others relate to what they think. I don't know that SuperAngel and rjdjohn316 would have thought that writing interested them before they entered the blogworld.  Now, they write about things that I never would have assigned them.  Myrtle was writing her novel way before we started blogging, though.

What am I saying? They write about things I don't have time to think of to assign them!  zsdfgsjjklghl!! (that means LOL!)

Isn't that what we are training them to be, though? -Why we are training them in this manner? To be young adults who can think independently, but not independent of God's Will? Not too opinionated, but an 'opinion' that is based on the WORD? A spirit that is willing to speak the truth in love and humbly accept correction.  It's a goal, anyway. For all of us... especially me!

Matt came home with a new tiller yesterday. Praise the LORD!!! He actually came home with it the day before, but , wouldn't you know it - a piece was bent and he had to go get another piece.

We had to move the garden this year to our field behind the barn, due to a tree that is growing and shading our former garden area more as it grows. So, as a result, we are behind - again- on our planting.  Oh, we have a couple of hundred plants ready to go into the ground, but our neighbor needs to use his tiller too ( for some reason... hhmmph ( ; - so we had to get around to the decision to actually BUY one. I think I will have some nice weather in the next week to get the plants in, and Matt will be on a 2wk vacation, so that will help.

An update on my Grandparents - they are both doing much better; thank you for the prayers. Dad said that they received good news about Gpa, that he may not diabetes as they thought before.  He had really been worried about having it, b/c his sister had so much trouble and had died from it, and he was looking for the worst.  He does still have other problems, and will be hearing from the Vet Dr. soon.

2dd15 called Grma today, so I am glad we are keeping in touch with them more.  She seems to be doing better also, and mentioned about waiting to hear from the Dr.

And, I found a new blog that I love. Well, actually, my dd's found it.  It is Stephanie10 . Not that I am happy to find yet another blog I will wish I had more time to keep up on!! ( ;   She blogs about her children and her dh, and her LORD and homeschooling.  It was a joy to read.

Does your hubby work outside of the home? Or does he focus on your home based bussiness ? and big time gardening ? I am now sad we didn't get to put much of a garden this year. All of our focus is going into this house. Maybe next year.

No, he works for the USPS and Lowe's. Still. Thank the LORD for his jobs, but having him home would be wonderful. I don't think it is a 'real' prospect for him, b/c he has been in the workforce for so long, but I hope it will be soon. I know the LORD has big plans for us, and He has already changed our lives so much from last year, it is awesome awaiting what else He has planned!!

We had to move our garden, but we still have a big garden to work. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/JacqueDixonSoulRestES/148497/

I think your other readers would be disappointed, as would I, if you didn't post too often Stephanie... but, thanks for your kind consideration!

It is nice to have found kindred spirits here.
