I can hardly believe it is already July!
Are you working hard on your garden?
Have you decided on what course of study you will take in your homeschool for the next school year?? (We homeschool all year round, so, we are still goin'.)
Ordering school books? I have seen some homeschool resources reviewing going on here at HSB.
Are you finishing up some Summertime projects?
Planning vacation? Enjoying vacation? Realizing you had all the vacation time you are getting until next year?
Regardless of your plans... it is still ALREADY JULY! And I can still hardly believe it.
We are going to be talking about Liberty, True Freedoms, Freedom in Christ, Our Founding Fathers... and doing projects that focus on Independence Day over the next several days.
When was the last time you heard it called that? Independence Day. I have gotten so used to it being called the 4th of July, it was almost foreign today, when I told Eric, 4ds9, that it is Independence Day on Tuesday. He said, "Ooooohhh, yeah." We have the movie 1776. It is one of our favorites. Well, not Matt's (dh), because, after all, it is a musical. ( ; It IS one of Eric's favorites. He knew what I meant when I said Independence Day, because it is in one of the songs.
Great learning tool: music.
Ok, have a great weekend. Have a great Independence Day. Experience your Independence in Christ. Openly thank Him for it.
Let me know what you are doing for Independence Day.

Hi, Jacque... thanks for "friend"-ing me! I love your blog... where do you find the time for such thoroughly engrossing posts? I look forward to reading more and getting to know you. We love the musical 1776, too, but there are few musicals we don't love. I'm on a mission to own them all on dvd, but I will only buy them on sale! So far we have about 12, though.
Thank you for your post about modesty... I have 2 teenaged daughters, and my oldest has always been very modest, and never "pushed the limits" wardrobe-wise. Dd2, however, is not only more shapely (augh!) but less modest. We have many, many heated conversations about what is and isn't acceptable, and she knows that her father has final say on any wardrobe questions. (After all, he is the only one of us who was ever a teenaged boy before.) There've been quite a few Sunday mornings where she's had to go back to her room and change before we would leave for church. Whew! Funnily enough, she will be the first to call out her friends for similar infractions.
Well, sorry to go on for so long... I'll check back with you later!
Kimberly
