Scrapbooking Living Learning Moments
After looking at websites and trying to grasp the idea of scrapbooking, lapbooking and notebooking for about 3 years, I finally think I understand the concept. I began to grasp it as I read through HOWTA and the HOW site. I found another site also, so I want to share the links and a little about them with you. If you have ever been interested in scrapbooking for school, you will want to peruse these sites... "In her writings, Charlotte Mason recommended preparing a handmade Time Line Book (originally called a Museum Sketch Book; sometimes called a Book of the Centuries). This activity is based upon one of the major keys to motivation: the active involvement of students in their own learning. Students learn by doing, making, writing, designing, creating, and solving. Creating this Time Line Book is a marvelous way for students to not only be actively involved but to “pull it all together” and grasp the flow of biblical and historical events."
Scrapbooking to Learn also has many, many other Scrapbooking/Notebooking ideas, besides the Timeline. If you are interersted in any of their kits, visit their site or order through our store, SoulRest Educational Supplies.
Another site I found is In the Hands of a Child.
"In the Hands of a Child brings the excitement of hands-on learning to life with Project Packs and Research Packs for students of all ages. Each of the completed projects fits neatly into a file folder; storage is simple and the projects become wonderful keepsakes with an educational value. Children retain more when what they learn belongs to them. Project Packs and Research Packs fulfill that need for ownership of knowledge. This is a great educational value for both classrooms and homeschools. Project and Research Packs bring laughter and learning together In the Hands of a Child."
You have surely visited the Cindy Rushton ~ Lapbooking Queen's ~ site. She blogs right here at HSB. Visit her blog to link to the many sites she has to share her lapbooking experiences.
Well, we have had some wet weather, and several of us are fighting off sore throats -more on that later- so, I will talk to you all later! Many Blessings!

One thing I love about hands of a child website is that they have a "Freebie" once a term! We did the bees Freebie this summer and loved it! I have also bought their Discovering series for Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua as well as The Life of Christ that was included on the CD ! We are working on our Genesis lapbooks right now.
