Unit Studies - Fitting it all in

We use unit studies for every subject that we can.... geography, history, art, science, Bible, logic, character, etc.

The children do their individual work for Math, Reading, Spelling, Writing, and Penmanship.

They are currently:
Kaitlyn, 14 (8th grade)
Jordan, 12 (7th grade)... Asperger's Syndrome
Ian, almost 11 (4th/5th grade)
Noah, 8 (3rd grade)
Hannah, 6 (1st grade)

I have looked at HOW on and off over the years but just never broke down and bought it for some reason. I'd love to hear how it works for you.

My oldest 2 (now ages 14 & 12) hate unit studies, especially my oldest. We did them for years but *I* needed something with more structure so we've been a little more eclectic the past couple years, a little more textbook oriented.

I actually *forgot* about unit studies until I read this! I will probably start using them again with my littles (currently ages 6, 4, and 1) and just let the older 2 do their eclectic mix of textbooks and unschooling.
