Online Biology Lab Dissection Links

I don't know why the last links I gave for homeschool have been about science... maybe even for Biology.

Anyway, we are studying Apologia Biology, and I went online to look up some links for virtual dissection...

First I went to Google.com and searched  biology lab online dissection.   There, I found a link to
Biology Dissection Links at 101Science.com.
Of course, all the while, Amanda is telling me she is -in no uncertain terms- not going to dissect a cow's eyeball - or a fetal-anything.
I wanted to take a look at a few sites to see what they had to offer, and she was really overdoing it! Big baby. she kept saying that dissecting anything was unnecessary for her to see, experience or know about. she said it hd no value to her, and she didn't need it. I tried to explain that, in the very least, dissecting has helped us to learn things about our bodies and how they work.
Not good enough. She wanted to know what good it would do her. I told her that it benefited her in the factthat they no longer bleed you to get rid of an infection, because they now know how things work and science is the reason for a lot of that.
And, Jocelyn pipes in that George Washington died as a result of being bled to death. Which we both already knew...
Anyway, I was happy to find the links. I only looked at one of them, so I can't recommend anything yet.
Take care...

We're doing Apologia Biology, too. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad to know you and tell Miss Jocelyn that Daffodil Girl says hello!

I can understand where Amanda is coming from

However, with modern technology she can learn about the innards of various critters without butchering anything. So, don't give in, Jacque.

As far as why she would need to know this...I may be making a wild assumption here, but from your blog I get the feeling all of your girls would be on the track to guide their families as you have, especially with the homeschooling. She may not be planning on being a doctor, but isn't she planning on being a teacher? What if she has a son who will want to be a doctor? Having learned the miraculous way God has put life together she will be better able to teach it, even if she never sees the insides of another animal between now and then.

Exactly...

what I told her!
I can always go to the -"well, you are going to homeschool your children, right?", with all of our children and that chould take care of it.

Yes, as far as I can see, all of our girls will be blessed to be wives and Mothers. Seeing friends, family and acquaintances who run after the 'American Dream' of 'having it all" and leaving their God-given value as a woman has definitely left a lasting impression. That and my own testimony as a rebellious teen!!! Seeing ourselves as God sees them is one of the best blessings we can all receive!

And, who? Me? Give in!!
Clearly that is not me... not when it counts!
Thank you!
-Jacque
