LOVE This Timeline Idea!!!
I got this GREAT TIMELINE LINK from deedeeuk. She got it fom Donna Young's site and explained it well in her post.
I really love timelines... hey, I love history now that it is REAL and not as boring as it was in ps!! I actually understand that certain events happened when other events did!!
I have tried to come up with an easier timeline book, but not quite gotten the format down. I think this one is a good choice. My problem was skimping on the use of paper... I hate to waste things! I have always put too many little 'year notches' on one page. I also had it set up horizontally... This one is vertical and looks like a better idea, except we will still use it in a 3-ring binder. I like the way she cut down the in-between pages. The pictures are very good on Donna's site.
So, if you are looking for a great Timeline Book that is simple and reuseable... take a look!!

I bought a timeline a while ago, but haven't put it up yet. I can't seem to find a good place for it. I may need to use the binder idea.
