My Girls, the Writers
Amanda and Jocelyn have been asked to write some articles for a couple of different publications, and I , for one, am very proud of them!
When we started blogging, my intention was to give them writing experience. We all love to write - whether fiction and non-fiction - and share our experiences. Blogging has been a great forum to do so in. As I had hoped, they have each gained wonderful writing experiences. What I didn't expect was all of the other benefits, such as the friends they have made and things they have written or commented on that they have had to be responsible for. They have truly grown in the past year from this experience.
In addition to that, they have gained quite a group of Junior Bloggers here at hsb who faithfully read their blogs, which you can tell by the 20 comments they get on each post. Yay for them! I love it that it is not all just Junior Blogger friends who enjoy reading their writings and sharing their lives with them, but several adults, too. I credit that to the fact that the homeschool community is a wonderful place to train children to be social, not just peer-oriented!!
Who knew that his would lead to their writings being noticed and God blessing them and others through this? This is all in addition to the fact that they have learned about html and web designing, hands-on.
