Friday, April 13, 2007 - How Long DO You Have To Name The Baby?

Gee Whiz...
Like we *have* to name our sweet little darling beautiful girl? She's only going to be a week old tomorrow!
You people are so-o-o impatient!!  ( ;
No one likes Pixie Muffin, huh? I think it is adorable. If it was Hebrew (or an actual name), I might try to convince Matt it suits her.
Amanda and Jocelyn have gotten so many name suggestions on their blogs, and I am sorry for any anxiety we are causing to our family and friends like Blogboy and totutuus, who *really* want us to name her.  I have a few friends at homesteadblogger who are patiently waiting, too!

So, here are a few of the suggestions....
Grandma Starr- What a sweetie........  I still like the name Regina..........
I know you do, Mom!  (It was my Grandma's middle name)

Grandma Debbie- she is so pretty!!!!! HOW ABOUT  KAYLA  ANN

Uncle Ken- How about BB  G. Dixon for Beautiful Baby Girl

"Auntie" Gena- how about emerson? isn't that the coolest girl name?? or ella....or maybe amarys (ah-merris)......did you want me to just name her? i don't mind....really.  a;dlkjfladjflsjd
and, then:  Lydia, Priscilla, Sarai, Mara, Naomi, Zion (that's a cool name), Danielle, Fiona, Gabrielle, Karena

JenIg suggested Jenefer (which my sister, Jennifer, would probably appreciate!), and she called her a PixieMuffin, which I adore!

by quietcajun : What about a name that MEANS beautiful like Bonita, Linda, or Bella? :) I still like MY name best... Christina "follower of Christ"!

by Rhen : You could name her Pure Sweetness! Such a cutie. I like the name Charlotte. That was in our top 3 for our new ones name but Susannah won out with darling daddy so that is what he named her. Congrats!

by
Jonash2004 : She is so precious! My vote is Emma. :) I'm so excited for November!!!!  Ashley
by countryheart : She is just the most precious little thing! Congratulations on your little girl. I'm glad your labor went so fast. I think Tina Marie would be a charming name! Get rest and enjoy! Love, Tina

by
DarthYxpu : You should name her Polly!!! Yes??? I mean, she looks just like me (kinda). Therefore her personality is just like mine! So, you should name her after me! Ah, come on, It’d be cute!
by BlogBoy: Now your going to name the baby Erica after me right? =D
Oh, and they’ve decided to name the baby Erica after me, Right?
I agree with sylvia, Name The BABY! ;)

by Rach : Here are a few first and middle name suggestions (some are from my sister): Anna, Cherish, Hannah, Melody, Bethany, Grace, Sophia/Sofia (Sophie), Lucy, Kristen, Natalie. That's what we can think of. I'm rooting for Anna. :)

I'm Jane and I don't have a blog but I'm kind of a friend of a friend and I always enjoy reading your entries. I think you should name the baby Grace or maybe Emma!

by
totustuus : predicting from all the names in your family already...I'd say Rebekah would fit right in, but I don't know your name preferences. ;-)
And I am really starting to get impatient about little No-name Dixon...Lol I'm sure she is adorable!!

by BookFreak : I like... Bridget.... and Lynn.... *grin* But i doubt that you'll need any help picking a name... Kanasy was Kanasy from the beginning... but Nekoda was Zach, and Seth, and a whole bunch of other names before we picked one to keep!

by BrielleCostumes : Congratulations on the new little hobbit!….
I’m glad she is doing well. I think the name Emma is really cute..:)

by weesma : Our suggestion for a name (actually Heather came up with it) is Mary, a nice old-fashioned and Biblical name.  Mrs. P.

by Earthling's mom : and she told me you were looking for a name for your beautiful new baby girl.
I know it's getting a bit common, but Lily is a pretty name for a baby born on Easter weekend, because of the Easter Lily tradition. Rose reminds us of the resurrection. So, I vote for Lily Rose (even if I do have my very own Lila Rose!).

by Narniagirl : I personally like the name Elizabeth (or you can spell it the British way, which I prefer: Elisabeth) which I believe means "gift of God". I also like Hannah and Marie (as a middle name).

We have been through name lists over and over. We have a couple of favorites. I just can't commit.... boohoo. Daddy is about no help. He is so picky, I don't think he likes any particular name!!
but...  I don't think this Little Sweetie minds!

And, I am working on the birth story.... even with only "30m of hard labor", it won't be *that* short!!
Yeah, we'll see how *easy* Jocelyn thinks 30m of labor is when the time comes!! LOL!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the well-wishings and blessings!

Blessings!
-Jacque

Do you need any more suggestions?
I never got to use Gloria. It brings to mind giving glory to God. All my husband could think of was that character in "All in the Family" That nixed that!!! humph. But I love the name we chose instead: Christine.

I know, I am really bad. I said that you should name her way to many times! =P I'm not exactly over here waiting for you to name the baby though, I just ask like every time I talk to one of you Dixons, because you might have named her, and decided not to tell me! Lol, just kidding! I think I like Kayla Ann Dixon, that sounds nice! I'm sure you and your husband will pick out a good sounding name though.

I was at the convention today, and all of these mothers coming to our table had little babies! They where so cute! Now I need to come see your cutie! I'm thinking we might come this month, but I don't know. I don't really know anything, I'm just supposing. =D
