Urgent Prayer please!
Please could you all be praying for a dear friend of the family whose life is hanging in the balance tonight? Please forgive me if for the sake of saving time I copy and paste the email I just sent to a prayer ring I belong to. Joy is about to turn 21 soon.Thanks for the prayers, and I'll keep you posted.
Can you please pass on this urgent prayer request? This is a dear friend of my family; Joy was adopted when she was very young from Korea with serious health issues. She had several operations as a child and then was fine. In her teens a couple of years ago she became seriously ill again and required a bone marrow transplant, she has been up and down the past couple of years fighting various infections. I just received a phone call from my Mom and this email from her big sister and things are CRITICAL. Mom said that her lungs are shutting down! Please be praying.
I know recent emails were positive, but Joy has taken a turn for the worse. The doctor’s report this morning was that she is seriously ill – at a critical stage. Her heart has swollen to accommodate the lack of oxygen in her blood. They have had to feed her through a tube because she is unable to eat enough to get the calories and protein that she needs. They are starting her on some new meds, but if they do not help, she will be on a ventilator with in the next 24 hours! Her transplant is good and doing its job, but the pneumonia is too much for her body. The doctor told mom that now is the time to pray. Please pray and pass along to others!
I’d also like to add to pray for my mom. She is tired and wasn’t able to “hold it together” like she normally does on the phone. She needed to call my dad (who is taking care of his parents) and wasn’t sure she would be able to get through that phone call. Also, today would have been her mother’s birthday (she went to see Jesus last August).
