I would like anything that would make my life easier... no fluff. Ok, I'll admit it - one of my favorite gifts my Mom gave us when I had LucyLillie was just for me: a pedicure. A REAL pedicure... she's a manicurist/beautician. It was fan-ta-bulous!! But, not really fluff... I sure *needed* that pedicure!

I almost posted about this separately. Wow. This is quite a post with much info!! It gives a lot of good info, whether you unschool or not. Great!!
Do you feel this way: -I also have this strong feeling that if I didn't have a curriculum my boys wouldn't just want to learn stuff on their own like math and grammar or history for that matter.
Or this way: you can't learn C until you have learned A and B
Did you know that: Math and grammar and reading that used to take three years to teach (and I have several 1850s era textbooks to prove this) now were stretched out over 8 years. They wasted our time with meaningless paperwork.

I love her context, because there is a young blogger on hsb who I noticed will post a scripture to make his points. I think that is excellent. He's a pretty wonderful writer, though, too...
I noticed she had been posting scripture or praise verses with her posts, too... another 'younger' blogger.

I found this one: Chaos and Squalor, a couple of weeks ago... watch your toes if your house is "messy".

***The Return of The Milk Maid
This touched me deeply - it was just a paragraph from the post, but when I read it, I had to re-read it and ponder what it means to receive a testimony like that.
It would be an honor for any young lady to be spoken of by her mother the way Jen speaks of Coie! I wish I had been that kind of daughter. My girls are definitely way ahead of me.
