7 Random Facts About Me

7 Random Facts About Me:

#1: I do not like to shop. Not grocery shopping, clothes, whatever. Ok, I could shop for books, actually. And I really don't mind shopping online so much. So I guess I would have to say I don't like to *go* shopping. I wish I could place an order for groceries and they would deliver... or better yet, let's just grow everything ourselves!

#2: When I was younger, I always said I wanted to have six children. I got my wish plus more! Little did I know then that these were desires instilled by God! Growing up in this anti-God, feminist world caused me to grow away from these hopes as I got older, but thankfully, God brought me back to the hopes I had and has blessed me abundantly.

#3: I have been/am a representative for/in business selling:
Mary Kay Cosmetics
Shaklee
Creative Memories
homeschool books

#4: I grew up attending a catholic school until I was in 7th grade. We went to mass and confession every week.  I learned about Jesus and many Bible stories, but never had a personal relationship with Jesus as the Savior of the world.  When I was 18, in college, living life away from God, I went to a midnight mass on christmas eve... alone...going had been tradition as I grew up.  I stood there watching everyone, taking account of everything, questioning what I was doing there, wondering if I should just leave. After awhile, I felt in my heart that this was not what my knowing God was all about. I left, and met Jesus as my Savior a long year-and-a-half later.

#5: I was born in the wrong century. Jocelyn has written a beautiful novel set in the 1800s. I don't normally get all romantic-al, but I could be happy living in the times of the novel she has created.

#6:  I have a few other blogs. I have one at HSB2... Homesteadblogger is really a neat place! We have a Contest Site, too, here on HSB. We got it so we could do our own contests, but recently started taking emails and searching for contests to announce and events like the Carnival of Homeschooling, etc. I am in the process of starting one to chronicle for the girls and me as we go through Created to Be His HelpMeet.

#7. I hate doing these tags, because it takes me forever, it seems, to think of things more than: I love dark chocolate, I like the color yellow, you know? Ooh, how exciting. Actually, I guess chocolate is pretty exciting.

I'm not tagging anyone in particular, let but, if you want to, "You're IT!"  Let me know if you do it.

Blessings!!
-Jacque

EDIT: ok, I don't know what came over me after I posted this, but I logged into hsb2, and I thought I should post 7 random facts there. I posted 7 different ones at my homestead blog, in case you *like* reading random factoids. Must be that it's after 11pm, and my brain cells just kicked in.

I started the tag with Jocelyn and I'm guessing she sent it to you. I don't really like doing tags either but I usually oblige. I also despise shopping in stores, for anything, unless it's for books. I was curious about how far S. Whitley is from Cincinnati. I live almost in Northern KY and since the Novak's are coming here to visit Claire they might make up to see you too....Maybe we could have a big homeschoolblogger get-together. I've been reading your's and their's since I first started blogging in January.

Well, fiddle-dee-dee...

for taking the time to come up with those facts about yourself. I enjoyed reading them. I am with you on the shopping...bookstores, I could live in...everything else...I could give up. (gladly)
Thanks also for sharing your testimony! I love hearing the stories of how God draws us to Himself...His love for us is so amazing...His grace! Wow!
Anyway, have a lovely day with your family!

I totally relate to you on #1!! I have never really liked going shopping - but I always enjoy spending time at bookstores.

That's neat that you and your daughters are reading through Created. I read some of my mom's copy...but it's a bit mature. I decided to wait until I was older to read the whole thing. I've still got a couple more years before I start thinking about marriage!!

Well, I'll TTYL - God bless!!!
Sylvia
