I enjoyed perusing through your blog this morning during my cereal and coffee. We keep nature notebooks, but not regularly. Only about once or twice a year. This week as we were taking a walk, we stopped to watch a parade of ants all carrying the same type of seed. They came out of the grass on one side of the road, and disappeared into the grass on the other--hundreds and hundreds of them. We're going to draw that today. Also, since taking Barry Stebbing's art class, we have just as much fun painting our nature scenes--he taught us how to paint so beautifully.
I was curious as to the name of "Hannie"--which I love, by the way. Is that short for Hanniel, which is in the Bible? I've had that name on my baby name list for some time. When I named my littlest Aram, I was surprised at how few people had ever heard it.
Your eldest daughters are absolutely inspirational. You must feel so proud. My eldest is turning 13 next week. I am still in the "trepidation" stage of wondering how well I will do helping him turn into a young man. Taking it one day at a time, leaning on my Lord, is all I can do. I was such a rebel by his age, so even a mildly serious look on his face can freak me out and drive me straight to prayer.
