Update on Robin Sampson ~ Sunday Morning

Robin on Sunday morning

Ronnie just called to let me know how Robin’s morning went. She started out rather perky and was able to sit up and have a bit to eat. They have removed her bladder catheter and she was able to function without it - a big step after major surgery like this! They have also removed some drainage tubes from the area on which they operated. That was rather an ordeal which required an x-ray be taken and it took quite a bit out of her.

She is breathing well and the nursing staff is being very vigilant about her breathing treatment. It is extremely important that she keeps that up so she does not develop pneumonia.

She is resting now and will probably be in this “semi-aware” state for another day or two. Ronnie said he thinks today and tomorrow will be the worst for her painwise as they try to get her up and about.

Again, pray that her pain would be minimal and that her recovery is quick. Pray for Ronnie as he treks back and forth to the hospital and keeps the house running - as most of you know, he had a heart attack in April so he needs an extra measure of strength. Pray for the two youngest children especially - they miss their mommy.

I personally would like to thank Kathleen for all of the updates. I am so happy Robin is doing well. I hope she recovers quickly so her Littles can see her soon!!

Dear Jacque,
Thank you so much for keeping us all informed on what is going on with Robin. I visit her blog quite often and wonder how she and her family is doing. My church is also praying for her and her family. I was wondering if I could impose upon you and ask you to pray for my family in a decision that we need to make. I feel better knowing that I have some support out there in the world. My niece is actually my sister's step grandchild...her biological mother left her in the hospital the day she was born...she was addicted to crack and heroine when she was born...a mere 3/4 of a pound!!! I feel like our home is the last hope that this child has, but I truly want God's hand in this because I know the devil will do his best to destroy anything that we try to do, no matter how right it may be. Thank you again!!!

Yes, I remember you telling me some info on your niece.(3/4 of a lb.?? WOWSERS...) I know you love her very much... and all she has made it through is by God's hand. I think she is very fortunate to have someone who loves her so much and wants to possibly (and probably) turn their life upside-down to give her something like you all do.
I pray for wisdom and knowledge. God is faithful. His love is everlasting, and He will answer your prayer.

if you post the convo, I don't mind at all. I emailed the CoH for you just a minute ago, actually! LOL..took Gerald forever to get it written down for me to type. He's been doing the 90 day challenge and is glued to the Word! I'm so very proud of him, it's probably the first time he's ever read this much in the Bible in his life. I don't mind hosting a CoH but I'm not a very popular blogspot so I don't know how well it would go...we could advertise plenty ahead of time....it's up to you all. Nancy

We are not limiting The Homestead Carnival to 'popular bloggers'. Pretty much anyone is more than welcome to host, regardless of popularity!
We will keep that in mind and schedule you in.
We need to get something typed out for those who haven't hosted before.
Right now, as it is getting off the ground, so-to-speak, we are just working it until it works itself!

I realize there's no standard for hosting but I wanted to give fair warning that I don't generally have a huge amount of traffic...I'm working on that though! LOL Thank you so much for everything tonight...I really needed the boost that you helped me have.
