New Shirts and Wh-a-a-a-t?I figured that since I am most likely going to get told on about this , I may as well be the one doing the telling on my own blog! So, I was sitting in the couch today, asking Amanda, the Laundry Mgr. *who* washed Matt's new P.O. shirts. I wanted to take the pockets off of 2 T's and another shirt so I could wear them, and I had asked that they not be washed until I did. But, alas, here I was sitting looking at Eric in front of our slightly-beaten-up green laundy basket, putting all of the lately washed navy P.O. shirts on hangers. "Hmmmm. So no one washed them, huh?" I went down the line, questioning each capable child, but to no avail. No one could recall putting them in with the darks. So, I decided I would go ahead and try them on, make sure they fit before I tore off the pocket and other emblem patch. (They'd better fit... They're XLs!) I asked Amanda to hold Lucy whilst I went into the bathroom, and she, of course, was happy to. I think we were still trying to figure out who could have- would have - possibly put these shirts into the washer, running the gamut of "you did" and "you must have" and "Are you sure you didn't?" as I sat down to grab the shirts off from the couch. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" I literally screamed - out loud - rather loudly, in fact. I threw the shirts to the floor, holding onto the one inparticular, shaking it. Amanda was about in hysterics, laughing so hard I don't even know if she was still breathing. All I could see was her mouth - open - wide - laughing at me as hard as she could. Jocelyn, on the other hand - and at the same time - was frantically asking me what was wrong, what? what? I guess Amanda just knew it was a spider. A creepy crawly brown with black stripes wolf spider that looked much larger crawling around on that navy shirt out of the corner of my eye than it actually was. You know it took me by surprise. When Amanda finally got around to taking a breath, what were the first coherent words she spoke? "I am so going to blog about this!" Of course, you had to listen in between the breaths and the almost-wheezing sounds as she still could not contain herself! All the while she is trying to get even a couple of sentences out, Eric the Brave has gotten a -something-or-other to squish the poor little creature. Yeah, didn't break my heart to see it smooshed. Even when Caleb 7ds2 decided *he* was the hero and squished it with his bare feet. Ick. And Isaac had to get something to just make sure it was all the way dead. And the shirts? Are you kidding? I was 10 steps away from putting that spider-infested Tshirt on. I don't even think so. I had Eric put them into the dryer... yeah, heat, *that* will kill them. You know, there must have been more on them somewhere! Better safe than sorry! I don't know yet if they fit. I still haven't tried them on! lol. YUCK! blessings! -Jacque Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 286 of 595 } { Next Page } |
