Walking Therein

My REALLY Random Post

12:54 AM, Friday, July 27, 2007 .. Posted in Seeking Rest in Heart and Home .. 6 comments .. Link

Here I am sitting with Jocelyn in a Wendy's parking lot, waiting for her GOAT videos to load..... No wonder they only loaded about 4 seconds when she loaded them from home!! We have been here for over an hour, and we are still on video #2 at 25%.

LucyLillie is asleep in her car seat - Praise the LORD! - there isn't much for her to do in the van right now! and Jocelyn is done leaving her kazillion comments for all of her lovely blogger friends... she was pretty quick at that! She had them all typed up and loaded onto her disc to copy and paste for each of her friends.

Rachel - What a HOOT. I am still deciding if I am going to copy/paste the Yahoo IM from a bit ago. She is something!! A regular Lucille Ball, I must say. She kept going on and on... she was actualy driving Jocelyn nuts!!! It was pretty funny watching Jocelyn go back to the IM each time Rachel said something.

So, this isn't my regular "Isn't Lucy the GREATEST?" or "Here's My Latest Homeschool Tip" post.... but, it's lively all the same!!

I have to tell you that the first thing Rachel told us was that she touched the Thai Hot Pepper and then got it in her eye and now her eye and her finger were on fire!!! LOL!!! Ok, at first we were sympathetic.

Now Jocelyn is talking to Rae on the cell phone, tormenting her, I think.

It was rather fun sitting here with her as she went to each of her friends' blogs. One of them, LOTRSavvy, has a great mix of music on her blog.... I liked a lot of it. Here is something I should have put into my 8 Random Things Tag- I rarely listen to music. I like (some) worship music, and I like soundtracks, like Phantom of the Opera, LOTR, and Fiddler on the Roof. Yep, I do.

I suppose I could actualy post something and post the 8 Random Things About Me that I was tagged with about 2 dozen times...

I usually hate doing tags, because I hate reading tags on other blogs. But I like learning things about you all, so the 8 Random Things tag I don't mind doing or reading. I also don't mind reading the one that was going around about the books, because it was informational.

1. I went to college for Pre-Med; can you guess what field?

2. I really do not mind rinsing out cloth diapers; it beats paying for disposables.

3. I hate most board games (like Monopoly). I do like Boggle and Mad Lib.

4. I love to scrapbook, am a consultant for a major scrapbooking co. and don't have time to do it.

5. I like war movies, westerns, swiss cheeses, chocolate and ;O Dr. Pepper (Not necessarily together!

6. I think my girls are the most mature and the silliest girls on the planet. Makes for a great mix and a lotta' fun - just ask them!!!

7. I hate calling places for information. My dad made me make airline reservations when I was in high school, and I absolutely hated it. (I did work as a tele-marketer in college, though, LOL).

8. I would like it if you visited Amanda's and Jocelyn's and Rachel's  blogs today even ifyou just want to tell them how silly they are.   ;)

Oh, and another thing - everyone that can hold dear Little Luc, except for Amanda, Hannie and me.... has POISON IVY. Even Matt came home today and said he thinks he is getting it on his arm and leg. Sheesh. Some help they are. we have been calling them PIGs and PIBs (not Matt). That would be Poison Ivy Girl and Poison Ivy Boy.

Ok, Enough randomness.... unless it takes much longer for the video to load.... then I might be back!

Oh... except for this: Get out the pens and paper ort he pc and have your child enter the Tribute To My Dad Contest!!!! You could win a $10 GC to TOS Store and maybe be in the Mag... Besides, it will be a great end-of-summer-project for your kids!

blessings! -Jacque

what's ort pc? LOLOLOL You know what's great for poison ivy ... Preparation H...it smells horrible, that's what the H stands for...anyway, it works. Kelsey had it here and then passed it on to me, I had it in my eyes, down my back, stomach and legs...she's still covered in some areas...Gerald says she rolled in it while planting flowers in the yard. And NO, he's not allergic to it. Pediatrics on the pre-med major.

That was a typo - it's supposed to say or the pc.
Oh yuck..... I don't know if I could do Prep H. The only on with a problem is Eric. Thr girls and Matt are actually fine not scratching. I haven't gotten it. I don't know if I'm allergic or not and I do not want to fond out!!!

so much for such a nice comment...I feel really stupid being so afraid after all I've accomplished in my lifetime! Is Caleb okay...stitches or anything like that involved? Poor baby! I got a little treat tonight...you might like it too...don't worry about the banner thing tonight...it's not important.

I finally went to bloglines to read my favorite blogs.. I'm only about 600 posts behind lol. That was the most randomist 8+ random things post I've read lol. I'm confused at how you down/upload a goat video in a Wendy's parking lot... :-0 Did you get the Chicky pen fixed (at 11pm at night!)?

I'm never letting my DH read your blog, cuz then he would realize I hardly do anything around here! LOL

Love, D
