Precious Past - BFS #6

1:10 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2007 .. Posted in Training Hearts Blogger Friends School .. 17 comments .. Link

This week's assignment is to share a piece of your past.  The assignment is to post a baby picture and share a special Scripture that reminds you of your past. Each piece of our childhood years plays an important part of in who we are today.

I have posted this picture of me as a baby before, and I am about 3 months old. This photo sits on the shelf in our living room, and Caleb thought it was Lucy. It took me awhile to convince him and Isaac it was me as a baby. Now looks at it and says Momma, and so does Isaac.

I don't have a Scripture that reminds me of my past, really. I grew up going to church every Sunday at the catholic church I went to school at, but I don't recall a particular Scripture. One thing that I did remember the first time I heard it i a song that I grew up with was the LORD's Prayer.

Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Thanks for stopping by to see my picture and read my verse! Please sign my Mr. Linky so that I can visit your blog and see your picture too! ;)

blessings! -Jacque

I love to see similarities between parents and their children I find it fascinating!

p.s. I will be putting mine up shortly, I wanted to see if anyone was writing about their childhood as opposed to just posting a picture
I think I was mis-understanding the assignment.

Isn't is amusing when our kids can't accept that we were once children - even babies? Great picture. How nice you have that in your home where everyone can still enjoy it.

Hello Jacque

Wow! 8 kids and one bathroom! You are a busy mom!

Thank you for joining Tia's blog and entering the contest! I am the author of the book in the contest....I Can't See, But...I Can Imagine.

I feel this book is a great fit for home schoolers. In addition being wholesome, it helps children to read, consider their own roots and understand that a person with a handicap can have a rewarding life. After the story is over the CD has the original sound tracts without the vocal, so it could very easily be used for home school sing-along music projects.

I Can't See, But...I Can Imagine is not a Christian book per sea (with scripture) but it has a Christian flavor. There is a lesson about forgiveness and a mention of heaven. My goal for the book, as a Christian myself, is to plant a Christian seed in the secular market.

I admire you home school teachers! There are so many problems in the public schools today. It is nice to know there are people like you are willing to take the time to see that your children get a good education in a good environment.

Again, thanks for visiting Tia's blog.

Blessings!

Weren't you cute? I couldn't find a photo of myself as a baby, so I had to post one of when I was a little bit older!

Nice to be back!
