Happy 14th Birthday Rachel!

3:04 AM, Monday, November 5, 2007 .. Posted in Seeking Rest in Heart and Home .. 10 comments .. Link

Have a SUPER Birthday, Rachel!Rachel, who was born my little peanut, is 14 today.  You know Rachel; She is the young lady who has that cute little Tea-House blog design. The one who blogs such deep posts that you think she must be older than 14. Nope, she isn't. She is now my 14 year-old. That is incredible!

Rachel is usually stuck in the after-thoughts of Amanda's birthdays. I mean, I'll admit it: I am usually so exhausted after planning and celebrating with Amanda that I am wa-a-ay behind on anything for Rachel. And, considering we are scarce on family and friends here, we pretty much gave up on that a few years back and just clebrate ourselves!

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday to you

Happy Birthday, dear Rachel

Happy birthday to you!!!!

Happy Birthday Rachel!

So, I don't know what I can really get for Rachel here online, on this post. I would love to get her everything on her wish list and all the art supplies I can get my hands on. She wouldn't want that, tho, because then, her little brothers and Hannie would just find them, think they were the best thing since sliced bread and have to use them.

How about some very nice stationery too. I know you would love that, wouldn't you, Rachel?

A new bed-set. And, a bigger bedroom.

Matching furniture.

A bookcase for all your books??

And, I know you love Blondie,

but you have always wanted a lap-dog, haven't you?

Like, maybe...

this one??

A birthday would not be complete without a Birthday Blessing!

Numbers 6:24-26  The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Blessings to you, my dear Rachel!!

Please go on over to one of Rachel's blogs and wish her a very

Happy Birthday!

I love you Rachel!

Love, Mom

Oh another happy day for your family...

I left her a note though she doesn't know me from Adam...heee-hee...

You know...I'm amazed with you. I see that you have allowed each of your children to become "who they are" and tried to fit them into any type of "homeschooling" mold. At least that's my perspective from cyberland.

Well, first off, I want to say: I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE STARS AND THE EARTH AND YOU SHINE MUCH BRIGHTER THAN ANY STAR COULD! I LOVE YOU!

Ok, I didn't want to spoil your party for me, but I knew you were going to do something like that for me. But I didn't want to spoil it, so kept my mouth and thoughts to myself!

Thank you again, Mother dear!

Love,
Rachel
Ps. I would love the puppy... could we get another one?

What a difference a little word makes!! I just re-read my earlier post and what I meant to type was that you do NOT try to force them into any specific mold!!
Ohmygoodness, please forgive me. I hope you got my meaning anyway!!

Oh darn!! I didn't realize until I read Jocelyn's post that I had missed Rachel's birthday!! Leave it to me to forget what day it's on!!

She does seem older than 14 with most of the posts she does!!

Of course you knew, Miss Smarty-pants!!! :)
but, really.... it was Jocelyn's doing. Hers and NarniaGirl's. They wanted you to have a big surprise!

Love you, and I think 2 dogs, 2 horses, 7 goats and 58 chickens is enough right now!

love, Mom

RYC: Lol! Everyone tells that to Mom! But I take after Mom and Dad 50/50.

Now what does the "pook" stand for? Anna kept saying "eel puke road," but we finally got her to stop. ;)

Y'all should get that fixed, it would be so neat! Maybe just get the windmill top? I'll be looking for one at the barns they are knocking down around here.

You can print these out when I'm done, this is kinda' the Dixon series ;)
