My Choices For the Homeschool Blog Awards

6:28 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 .. Posted in Contests, Fun Stuff and Our HSB Community .. 6 comments .. Link
Who will "win the crowns"? You have only 3 days left to vote, if you have not already. Please read the Voting Rules on the top of that page, because it tells you how many votes will be counted from each household. Some personal computers are blocked once they are voted on, so visiting your local library is another option. I am not sure of the technical side of that, but we went to the library last year.

Three days gives you enough time to look over the nominees and/or my choices and perhaps visit a few you have not heard of.

VOTE!!

I did not get to look at AALLLLLL of the many blogs on there. Besides that, I am better at remembering the blogger's names rather than blog names. So, if I overlooked you and you are a friend of mine (whose blog I obviously like!), I am sorry.

Blessings to each of you. There are so many great blogs out there, sometimes it is hard to pick a favorite, isn't it?

blessings!
Jacque

So you don't feel its a conflict of interest to promote your infant daughter's blog (the best new blog), while you yourself and your daughters are actually writing the entries, when the three of you volunteered to step down from the contest?

Well, I think you should put a disclaimer on Lucy's blog that stating that neither I nor Amanda ever blog on it. It's mainly Rachel's project - cause like I have way to much do to with all my (what 8??) of my blogs. Geesh.

I can't remember who said, but "there's a little red X at the top of your screen. If the page offends you CLOSE it". ; )

Anyway... GO GO GO LUCY LUCY LUCY!
GO GO GO RACHEL RACHEL RACHEL!
Oh and I hope Auntie Gena & Auntie Tia win!!

About Conflicts of Interest~

9:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 .. Posted by JacqueDixonSoulRestES

I think it is a conflict of interest for you to comment on my blog.
I think it is a conflict of interest to allow these little awards to completely run our lives.
I think it is a conflict of interest to be so obsessed about it that it has become a tidal wave of hatred. (there is so much more to blog about)

I think it is a conflict of interest for an adult to not be able to sign their name to argumentative comments.
I think it is a conflict of interest that you are trying to hold me to rules that do not apply. This is my personal blog. It is no longer in the voting. Period.

Pot to Kettle: Get on with life!
It has come to the point, after this whole thing has been drug out for the past month from so many different angles, that I have to echo Heather on this : Who gives a FLYING PANCAKE?

Personally, I didn't think it was a conflict of interest that any of the Authors' blogs stay in the nominations. I don't have access to the polls. Only 1 person... maybe 2 do. I understand all the "Conflict of Interest" opinions. I understand the usual need for laws, but this has gotten way out of hand.
A small faction has gotten so bent out of shape that this year is just what you want it to be - a LEGALISTIC bunch of rules, rather than something FUN that brings the homeschool community together. It is not about being a lesbian or about the profanity. This is about common courtesy. A blog is whatever you want it to be; and frankly, I don't really care. However, common courtesy is that you don't greet someone (IRL or blog-world) with the f-word and the middle finger.
This faction has made this "politics as usual" and an eye-for-an-eye. It has been one thing after another to ruin it for the majority. I don't think it worked.

Since I have read over and over that it is a conflict of interest for you to comment on HOMESCHOOLBLOGGER, please don't. It really needs no further discussion.

And, as an aside... we don't do VF. So that theory is wrong. We won't be accepting all of their "yummy prizes" as another blogger stated.
