Monday, January 21, 2008 - Enter To Win:The Comeback Kids Book Set!

I have two announcements to make:

  • #1 is the Write Like Mike contest being held by Walden Media.
  • #2 is that I am giving away 4 sets of The Comeback Kids by author Mike Lupicia (each set is 2 books). I will get to that in a minute.

The Write Like Mike Contest is for children between the ages of 8-12.SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 14, 2008

One Grand Prize winner in the Write Like Mike Contest will win the following:

  • His or her winning sports column will be published in a Spring 2008 issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine;
  • A signed library of Mike Lupica books;
  • The winner will receive one thousand dollars ($1,000) to be given to the church, school or educational non-profit of their choice.
To read compete contest rules and information, as well as to enter the Write Like Mike contest please click HERE.

Now for my contest:
Mike Lupicia has also written two books about The Comeback Kids.
I am giving away 4 sets of The Comeback Kids by author Mike Lupicia (each set is 2 books).

"Dedication, teamwork and heart make Mike Lupica's Comeback Kids series a touchdown for young readers. Meet basketball great Billy Raynor (Hot Hand) and star drop-kicker Scott Parry (Two-Minute Drill). Both boys strive to be team players on and off the playing field. However, when faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, each character must reinvent his strategy if he wants to keep playing the game."

This series is recommended for readers between ages 8 to 11. Each subsequent title will feature a new protagonist, sport and challenge to overcome. Look out for future Comeback Kids books soon!

To enter the contest to win the books, all you have to do is leave me a comment. Please link your blog or your email or both in your comment. If you want an extra entry, blog about the contest or link the icon in your sidebar and leave me a second comment telling me so with the direct link to your post or that it is in your sidebar.
You must be at least 18 years of age and live in the U.S. You can read official contest rules HERE. The contest will end Jan. 26 at midnight EST, so leave a comment now!

Make sure you leave me a link I can contact you with. I will be letting you know through that link that you've won.

Do do sports?? This would make a great gift for nephews or friends!

blessings!

Hi, you have a beautiful family. I have 5 children myself, four of them daughters and one son. I had a quick look at your eldest daughters blog; she has a lovely heart for God. I pray that my children will too. :) May God bless you as you continue to home-school.

Grace and peace, Lee :)

About Me

The scoop on me: Believer for 20 years; married 19 years; 8 children so far, hoping for more; live on a great hobby farm, with 7 goats, 2 dogs and 68 chickens. Oh, and 1 bathroom. That's always fun. :) The scoop on our homeschool: Bible-first, Living Learning Moments, meaning if it happens, it's a lesson. We learn life! How long have we been homeschooling? Well, our oldest is 18. How much longer do we have to go? Well, our youngest is almost 1. We love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
