What is the weather like in your neck of the woods?? We have been having -what else? - SNOW. and more snow and more snow... It snowed all night and most of the day, and this is what we awoke to Tuesday morning. What a design of beauty by God's own Hand.
We are all feeling so much better! I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have all of our children well. It was almost too much for awhile there. It is always hard seeing a child suffer, but seeing Loolie so sick with the flu, and then Caleb had it twice; well, it was very trying. Especially since I got it with them! Thank God He gave us our family in His design, with Amanda and Jocelyn and Rachel to care for any or all of us. Using Goot and Honey remedies sure were a great help!
As a special treat, Matt and Amanda got everything we needed, and then Paulie helped us set up our wireless dsl network, and we are now off dial-up! Amanda and Jocelyn have had quite a time - well, me too- but, it has been fun for them to instant message back and forth and to be able to be online at the same time.

I don’t know if you all heard at Amanda’s blog, but we did sell the horses. The lady came to pick them up today. I am grateful. Less feed. Less worry. I took some pictures of them leaving, but I will let Amanda post them first. They gave us some trouble, and she had to lunge-line Estrella right there in the driveway! hahaa But they are now at a 300ac. horse farm with eight other horses!! Karla said that they were so happy and ran and bucked all over. She knows well how to handle horses, and I am glad they are with her, though I will miss them.Amanda also posted the Homestead Carnival theme in their honour, if you wanna check it out:
You must also look at the wonderful jobs she did on her two other writing~carnival projects:

I would have to say that Amanda is the Carnival Hostess with the Mostest these past couple of weeks! A week and a half ago, she hosted the:

Being almost well now, we have been running down to the barn in an eerily-familiar setting as last year at this time. We are not quite sure if we are expecting goat kids or not in the next hours or days or weeks~or even at all! As long as there are no surprises, that will be fine. If you would like to read more, Jocelyn tells all in her post, Goooo-at-ie!
See this beautiful icon here for the Feelin' Feminine Challenge that Jocelyn is hosting? Well, besides the fact that Jocelyn made it, and I think it is beautiful, it is a portion of a family photo. It is the picture of my Grandmother on her wedding day. Isn't she pretty?
Some of Jocelyn's friends said she looks a bit like her.
Rachel, my darling sweet third daughter is also writing for GGM, so be looking for her new column in the March issue. It is entitled, Snuggle Up With A Good Book, and the title rather suits her! She is so sweet and snuggly herself. she has been giving up her blogging time lately too, so that her sisters can write and manage what they need to. She is such a Giver! I have been mothering her a little extra lately, because she has had an earache on top of the congestion, but I think she is about over it! She is also officially LucyLillie's favorite sister at present!
Eric is totally enjoying the Kingdom series books! We bought them for him last June, but he was reading the Chronicles of Narnia then, and he moved directly on to the Lord of the Rings, so he is just now in book two of the Kingdom series. He is just mesmerized. We do need to get him the next three, though, because he only has one through three, though I think they may have them at our library. What do you think of that? My son who didn't read (could have, didn't want to) until last June, and now he has all these pages and words under his belt! aaahhhhh.... Homeschool!
Hannah. Oh, my dear little egg-gathering, diaper-changing little girl! She was the first to come down with the flu, after her Daddy did. She types up a blog post a few days ago, and we were talking about subjects and predicates and how to double a consonant to add a suffix. I think she was a bit perplexed as to why I thought she wanted to know that at first. I have always had a rule that I will sound something out, but not spell it, and she looked quizzically at me that I wasn't just sounding the word out. However, to give her a five minute lesson on suffixes that she won't forget as long as she continues to use it was well worth it, even though we were sitting in our jammies, drinking warm broth on the couch!
Issac and Caleb, the dynamic duo. The dynamic cowboy duo. They ride their imaginary horses all day and can tell you what a Haflinger is and an Andalusian.
Caleb just knows that he is "King of the Cowboys", and he and Isaac both can say it just like the announcer on the Roy Rogers show. You have no idea how many times I hear about "Trigger, the Go-o-olden Palomino-o-oo". And, they are going to absolutely love this picture.
LucyLillie is walking along everything. She says "bite" when she wants you to share a bite with her and smacks her little lips together about ten times to get the point across. She likes bananas, soup, and mommy's milk. She drinks water out of a cup and adores Caleb (and Rachel and Hannah). So, it has been really hard to keep her away from him since he got sick again. She is our sweet little cutie-patootie, and he is my pumpkin-pie. They are best buds.See more pictures at Luli

*LOL* I was a bit confused for a moment, because it said I was logged in...I can't be logged in, I don't have a blog here, and than I realized it was because my Homeschool Nations blog is on here...*LOL*
Wonderful post!!! I am always so excited to hear all about the children, and what they are doing!! And I LOVE the pictures!!! Isaac and Caleb look so much alike!! Really a sweet post!!!
Now, onto my "Dear Jacque" session...*LOL* I need some ideas on what to do with the girls' constant fighting. It's bad enough when it's just bickering back and and forth, but it's almost a daily occurance that someone hits (or something along that line) the other. Any ideas?? I keep telling them to stop arguing, which lasts about 30 seconds, and I've been trying to impress upon them that they love each other, and should try to be best friends (doesn't sound right, but hopefully you kwim)...
Hope you all get completely better soon!!! How's Caleb today?? My prayers are always with you!!
*HUGS*
