Some Announcements and Prayer Requests

Happening around here lately....
Recovering from a long weekend. No goatlings yet. Not sure if there will be any. Matt, Amanda and Rachel made it home from Paulie's big 18th party! Jocelyn is more upset they didn't bring Schooter home than that she didn't attend! I think she got over the fact she didn't get to see everyone again - well, sorta'.  I think.... :)

Just to let you know that we will be drawing for our Blogoversary! I can't wait to see who wins what! I was so excited about giving out the TOS subscriptions. The Old Schoolhouse Magazine also has a digital version now, in case you didn't know.  If you signed up on  the 23rd before Brooke (iloveyougod), then you are entered... it was still the 22nd in some parts of the country then! :)

I AM going to get back to those of you who are interested in purchasing some of our stuff I have listed For Sale. This weekend about did me in, and even now, I am going to go take a nap! But, I did cross off what you asked for, and I will have one of my secretaries beautiful daughters get those totals and email each of you today. If you have not looked, please do: For Sale: Books, CDs, Other - Oh, and Goats!

We are now busy finishing up our articles for GGM, again working on one desktop. Boy do I miss my laptop!! wwwaaaaaaahhh.... The battery was only keeping alive unplugged for about 26 minutes, and we had not yet fixed the cracked screen, so we took it in about two weeks ago. I have reviews to finish, and my GGM article to wrap up. Hopefully, Matt will be able to get it today. Yes, the Best Buy geek (their words, not mine!) called and said, "You do know it will be $578 to replace the screen, right?". Amanda had answered, and just said, "Yeah, ok."  I hate it when companies have no idea what is going on like that. We purchased their ADH protection, which means, Amanda dropped it, it is covered. Period. Which the real BB guy confirmed when I called him the next day. So, hopefully they won't give Matt a hassle.

Speaking of GGM... I'll betcha' can't wait for the new issue. It comes out next week! We have had several requests for a print copy, and SisterLisa asked for some votes and opinions, so please go over and give us your vote. This will run until the end of the month. If you are interested, we uploaded a pdf version of our March issue for you to try out. We are making additional changes to our formatting for April.

We are still praying for David and Leah Ortiz' family. Their 15 year old son, Ammi, was critically injured by a booby-trapped Purim basket on Thursday afternoon. I have not heard or found an update. I have other sites linked on my original Prayer Request for them: !!Updated: Prayers For A 15yo Boy Injured From A Bomb

Also, continue to pray for The Sams family who lost Joshua to Trisomy 13, and also Eva's family. Just a warning that there is a bare-n*ked, pierced belly at the top of the page... in case you have Littles with you as you go there. Not to be judgmental; I don't want them looking at anyone's bare-n*ked belly, ok? But, pray for this family. They also lost their baby to Trisomy. See her sidebar for other details about their family. They have 2 children going through it too, which made me sad.
Another sad loss is little Emmy. I don't know Amy, but I hurt for her and Ty and their children. Please keep them in prayer too. Raising Arrows

I just received an email that my cousin, Amy, has surgery in 2 weeks to try to relieve her Trigeminal Neuralgia. My Uncle and Aunt and Amy's husband, Dennis, have to take her to Detroit for the surgery. The surgery is very rare and they are the only ones currently performing it. People are referred to them from Mayo's.
They don't like to do the surgery and that is why they waited so long to see if the pain would lesson some.  With the meds, the pain is still there but tolerable. The surgery is in the brain. It doesn't take long but they will be keeping her in ECU for 2-3 days to watch for Blood clots and swelling problems.
They will try to put separator pads between the Trigeminal and Facial nerves and the corresponding blood vessels.  It has been successful in most cases,  My Uncle, Aunt and Dennis have talked to the Doctors, and said they seem confident.

See my sidebar for other prayer requests, and also let me know if you would like to be added or know of someone to add.

I think that is all - unless you know of someone who wants a fine Nubian buck (we have 2 for sale) or doe yearling, which we have for sale. We are located in northeast Indiana. Near fort Wayne.

blessings!
