Can You Say Steam Engine?
He is 2 years old.
He plays hard, gives sweet kisses, loves to be outdoors, loves to be in the barn, eats like a big boy (even salad), snuggles, cuddles, talks well, comes when I call him. He is like a steam engine. He goes - goes - goes. He goes when you want him to slow down. He is a full-steam ahead little toddler.
(I had to use this pic again; I love it!)
And, then you blink...
and he is asleep.
I sat blogging tonight, watching this little sweetie running back and forth. "Keep him downstairs." "Get him." "Come here, Caleb."
Then we were going upstairs a *couple of minutes later*, and Amanda picked him up from the couch -"Is he sleeping?" I asked, in complete surprise.
"Yes."
All I could say is, "He is like a steam engine."
Amanda laughed out loud.
"Full-speed ahead.... CHUG CHUG CHUG... then outta' steam."
Aren't they awesome?
blessings!

Dearest Hannie!
She is 7 today. Time is fleeting!
Number 5 of almost 8. I guess that makes her a middle child!
She wants a bike .... in the winter, hmmm....
She loves to draw and color. She reads already and loves it. She loves playing outside and riding bikes. She is not a picky eater. She loves hugs and snuggling.

2dd15, Myrtle, being the darling, lovely sister that she is, was "encouraging" 5dd6 to pick up a puzzle. She was quite reluctant at the time, so, Myrtle asked her if she wanted a "kick in the pants." When Hannie realized she was talking to her, she replied,"I'm not wearing pants." It was even funnier that she was serious... She was wearing a dress.
