aaaaaand the results from my show were...................
*drum roll*.................
i got FIRST and FIFTH!!! sammi was so good, and even though i completely lost my leg over a few jumps, i kept my eyes up and he saved my tail. he didn't knock off a single rail, either! i thought we had one down (i heard a tap, but it turns out he just clipped it) and went "GRRRAAAAAGH!!!" like really loud haha. from looking at my pictures, my face way pretty intense.
the dressage went ok, despite some hilarity before hand. the show jumping arena was absolute SLOP, but sammi kept his feet under him like the true welsh pony he is. i'm so proud of him, and pretty proud of me too lol :)
ok, so tomorrow
is the horse show! i jumped some big stuff on sammi today, and he was great, so tomorrow should be fine, provided i remember my course. i remembered the course my trainer had me do today, although yesterday i kept forgetting. sammi's going to be all braided tomorrow, so he'll look more like the fancy welsh pony What's It To Ya than the adorable fluffy pony Sammi. he's going to look awesome.i got a bunch more light blue riding stuff, so tomorrow we'll be all matchy matchy. i've been at the barn most of today, and right now i'm crashed at my trainer's house using her computer lol. i'm spending the night at her house because tomorrow we have to have the horses loaded and be on our way by 6:45am. you read that right, 6:45am. i really don't think it's fair that the lower levels have to ride first. why can't the intermediate level (who jump almost 4 foot fences and do high level dressage) riders go first?? lol. but anyways, just thought i'd type up a quick post.

the sweet sounds of memento mori would be the sounds filling my ears just now... yes, it has arrived. after the anticipation of many months, it's here, and it's AHHH-MAZING, as i would say.
so far, my favorite songs off of it are Chasm, Missing, Set Apart This Dream, In The Dark, Swept Away, and Arise. the album cover is pretty interesting. inside, where lyrics would normally be, is a multiple-part story written like it was from a journal. each "entry" has the same title as a song from the CD, and a date beside it (i'm assuming the date is when the song in the "entry" title was written). the stories are about this "war" between the Passerby Army (incidentally, the fan club's name) and the Dread Army, which i guess is like Good vs Evil?? anyways, it's pretty interesting.
i'm thinking about a new blog title; i like the name i already have, but i'm also thinking maybe "swept away" or "set apart this dream," which are song titles. as far as song lyrics go, i'm still debating whether or not any of them would make good titles... the songs tell a stories with the lyrics, so any little snippets sound majorly out of context. ponder, ponder... let me know what you think!!
i don't really know what to say... just really a lot of random stuff... here it goes:
HORSE-RACING: Zenyatta just became the first mare to ever win the Breeders' Cup Classic yesterday, facing off against the boys for the first time in her undefeated career. as you can tell from the first part of the sentence, she's still undefeated (: way to rock, Z!!
THE BARN: my horse show is next week... pretty excited! i already have my dressage test down pat, and i will (hopefully) do fine on the jumping. my trainer is going to braid the horses, so they'll be all nice and purdyfied (: also, im going to be wearing full show regalia (complete with show coat, stock tie, show shirt, tall boots, hairnet, and light colored breeches) for my dressage, although i'll be wearing a light blue polo for jumping. my tall boots are breaking in great, although i do have one blister from it, but that's not too bad.
FLYLEAF: we only have one more day to wait until flyleaf once again rocks the world with their NEW cd, Memento Mori. really looking forward to it! i've waited so long, and now im THIS CLOSE (hahaha thats one of the song names!! yay me!!) to hearing it... awesomeness.
BEAUTIFIED DIVERSITY: once the new CD comes out, we might just be getting a NEW blog name. you heard me right, after being called "beautified*diversity" for most of its life, i'm thinking it might be nice for a new name, of course from lyrics from a song in the new flyleaf CD or a song title from the aforesaid CD. and if we do get ourselves a new blog name, then of course there will be a new header made by yours truly to top it off. we shall see...

ok, so first off, i got new tall boots! i found them at a local tack store on BIG sale and they're just my size! i also got a carrying bag for them that is really dark brown with light blue peace signs all over while i was at the tack store. now im starting to break the boots in, which is hurting some, but not too badly :)
the barn got two new ponies, Prince Caspian (aka Caspi, who i have mentioned before) and Captain Hook (aka Capi, which is very confusing because now we have Caspi AND Capi!). i like Caspian better because he's a lot faster and a little bigger. he can also do really nice automatic lead changes, which is great because i can practice my changes on him some so i know what to do when i hop on Sammi and want to school him on his changes, which he's still learning how to do. he's doing pretty well with them, although he does better if there's a jump he can do the change over, which is easier. haha he's a laaaaazy little pony but i love him anyways :)
so anyways, on saturday i worked in my church's haunted house! it was really really fun :) at first i was being a crazy little girl who was like writing on the walls, but then i switched with my friend Katie, so i got to go upstairs and get "killed" in a chainsaw massacre." i got hurt a lot, because first one of the other "victims" stepped on me while he was "dying"; then when another group came through a chair fell on me (which happened numerous times); then Hannah (who was one of the bad guys who "massacred" us) tripped and fell on me; then when everyone was leaving and i was pretending to be dead, a bunch of little kids walked across my back; THEN the one of the guys beside me knocked his chair over when he got "massacred" so when i fell over after "dying" my face landed on the back of the chair (which happened several times)... PAINFUL!! despite all the pain, it was very very very fun!! i hope they do it again next year :)
back to horses, i'm pretty much counting down days until i have my horse show on Sammi! haha i already know my dressage test even though the show isn't until the 14th! i have to go out to the barn and ride 3 times this week and 3 times next week, and then next saturday is the show (not this coming satuday, the one after that). it's my first real-deal show, and im so excited! it's just a schooling eventer show, and im doing a pre-maiden CT (18"-2' jumps, and USDF Intro B dressage) then im doing a maiden jumper division (2'3" jumps). very very very excited!!
now i'm moving on to flyleaf... nothing more to say about the new CD other than that it comes out in 7 DAYS!!!!! happy happy joy joy :)

so, i don't really have a lot to say... well, i DO have a lot to say, but i always do, so it's not anything out of the ordinary. trust me; i can take a sentence and turn it into 3 paragraphs. however, i'm not too sure everyone would like me to write 3 paragraphs, including myself, seeing as im really really tired. hmmm...
oh! so, as far as flyleaf news, the new CD comes out in 16 DAYS!! so crazy excited (:
as far as horse news, i'm competing in a combined test on the 14th. i'll be riding the eternally darling grey welsh pony, What's It To Ya, aka Sammi. i'm doing a low level combined test (it includes dressage and showjumping) and then i'm doing a 2'3" jumpers division, which should be fun because i LOVE to handgallop around a course on sammi, cuz he's pretty quick on his feet. like, i can make a 90 degree turn at a canter then take a short one stride to a jump on him, and he never misses a beat. he's a really good boy (: not to mention he's so stinking cute!! i mean, who couldn't absolutely adore a little grey welsh pony?? as you can tell, i'm REALLY excited about it (:

So, you're caught on another planet... What do you do? The conditions: red planet kinda like mars. with frozen water deposits, and average temperature -40f What you have: A shuttle with no engine. a half full fuel supply. a damaged and weak radio antenna. enough oxygen to last you under normal conditions up to 30 weeks. repair tools, but some are multi-man tools, and you are the only one alive. Time to survive 20 weeks (or you run out of fuel) try to be creative with the explanations!
first, i would try and contact the space center place i came from, but according to the first part of the tag my radio signal is weak, so i'd have to walk around for a while going "can you hear me now??". then i'd run around the planet like a chicken with my head cut off looking to see if there were any aliens there who could help me get back to my planet. if i didn't find any helpful little aliens or contact my people back on earth, i'd try and use duct tape, a few repair tools, and good ol' southern ingenuity to try and repair my ship. this would probably result in my ship blowing up since i would have no idea how to use anything but the duct tape, although occasionally i can come up with some ingenuity. so, now my ship has blown up, and im left with my duct tape (i stuck it in my space suit pocket, which is why it's not on the what i have list) and my radio antenna. i duct tape the antenna to my head and try and contact my people on earth AGAIN, this time with success. well, not really success; i end up finding the radio signal of some random island in the pacific and i don't speak random-island-in-the-pacific-ian, so i try to use sign language, but sign language doesn't work over a radio. at this point, my radio antenna blows up, so i am left alone on a random planet with nobody to talk to and nothing to do. i then proceed to lie down and cry for a while, but then get up and do jumping jacks. i live out the rest of my life on the planet in a crater, because i realize the air in the planet is perfectly breathable, although my skin does turn bright green, but other than that, no side effects.
and that's how i lived out the rest of my life on a random planet.
so, i really don't know what to title this. i've been through an emotional rollercoaster this week and im praying it's over. i've been really upset about some very difficult situations my family and i have been going through with some friends; just when i thought it was over, it was really just getting started. i don't really think it is appropriate to go into details for numerous reasons, but please pray for us if you think about it!
on a bright note, tomorrow i'm heading out to a fall festival with jessi, alex, and meagan. we're taking one of our ponies--sammi--and the rabbits and the-guinea-pig-from-not-heaven (as i call him) to a fall festival as some sort of petting "zoo" thing and maybe give pony rides on our ever-patient, grey welsh pony sammi. you've gotta love a teeny little pony who can have kids crawl all over him one minute, then go beat the tar out of everyone in a combined test the next, which is yet another reason we love sammi. i'm really looking forward to it! we're going to be out there most of the morning and part of the afternoon, and then im hoping to stay out at the barn for a while afterwards and maybe hop on some benevolent pony and go for a spin. actually, i really want to ride our NEW pony, prince caspian (or caspi, for short).
caspi is a bright red chestnut pony with a nice round star plopped right on his forehead. he's 13.3 hands (5 inches shy of being considered a horse, and too small to be considered a large pony, he's considered a medium pony) and from everyone i've talked to, he's a lovely pony. i can't wait to meet him! jessi txted me a few days ago and told me we got him, and i haven't been able to stop thinking about riding him! thank heavens im small enough, lol.
i think that's pretty much all i have to say for now. nothing new about music, although the samples for all the songs on the bonus edition CD of Memento Mori are now out, so you can see if you want to preorder it. not all the songs on the larger Expanded Edition are available for preview right now, so on iTunes you have to go the the Bonus Edition to hear the samples.

As you can tell, I have a LOT to say. First off, I'm ungrounded!! And I'm very happy about being ungrounded. Very very very very very very very very very very very happy!!!!! Moving on now...
Since I am probably Flyleaf's BIGGEST fan, I thought I'd go ahead and mention that BOTH editions of Flyleaf's new CD "Memento Mori" are available for pre-order on iTunes. The expected release date is 11/10/09, which I find funny because it's like 11,10,9!! Get it? Maybe not. Nevermind. Anyways, I think this is the REAL release date, because iTunes confirmed it. If you either don't know me, or haven't read this blog for a while, you might not know that this is the THIRD expected release date for "Memento Mori." Two different singles, "Beautiful Bride" and "Again," have already been released, along with the music video for "Again." The music video for "Beautiful Bride" is in the works. Another Flyleaf thing I thought I'd mention, the two CD editions include different things. The Expanded edition has 21 songs and a digital booklet, and the Bonus edition has less songs but also includes the digital booklet. The songs in the Expanded edition are: Beautiful Bride, Again, Chasm, Missing, This Close, The Kind, In The Dark, Set Apart This Dream, Swept Away, Tiny Heart, Melting, Treasure, Circle, Arise, Uncle Bobby, Break Your Knees, Enemy, Have We Lost, Who Am I, Stay (only with the Expanded edition), Bitter Sweet (only if you pre-order it!!).
Other things, I go another Family Force 5 CD (I got Business in the Front/Party in the Back). It's AWESOME! They are definitely as good on CD as in concert :) Their new single, Keep The Party Alive, is pretty good too, although it's a LOT more like dance-techno than their other stuff.

I PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!!
i know i got an Exceeds Standards grade on at LEAST one thing, and im pretty sure i might have gotten it on a few others, as well. i don't have the Examiner's comments yet, since i won't get those til sometime next week, but they were able to tell me that i passed my rating today! i would say that this is probably one of the best days of my life! my birthday went great, too; thanks so much to everyone on here who wished me a happy birthday! i got so many happy birthdays from people in Pony Club, people on HSB, and people on facebook that i can't even count them! thank you all so much!
well, it looks as though i have made it through yet another year!! 14 years old at long last :) to be honest, i am very very very happy and excited, BUT i am quite nervous at the same time! why am i nervous? because not only is my BIRTHDAY today, my pony club RATING is today.
what a way to spend a birthday; getting up at 6 in the morning to go bathe your lovely ponyman (as Grady is affectionately called), then trailer out to a barn that is an hour away to be rigorously tested on horse stuff. but you know what? i wouldn't have it any other way. i love Grady, and i love pony club, and it's sooo awesome that im FINALLY getting rated!! i've been in pony club for a while now, but the previous rating i was going to go to got cancelled, so i've been waiting and waiting and studying and studying since then. now it's finally here! if you get the chance, comment and wish me luck! i probably wont see your comments until later, cuz i'll be at the rating most of the day, but i'll be really happy if you comment.=!!

my life's theme song is in the process of being switched. i know, i know; i'm probably the only person you've ever heard of who HAS a theme-song, but it's a very good thing to have. i don't know why it is, it just is. i have had many different theme songs, however, none of them really seem to fit right now. recently, i have used "Again," by Flyleaf, and "Don't Speak," by No Doubt, and various others (most of which were by Flyleaf). however, none of the aforementioned theme-songs fit right now. although, if i just take parts of some songs and parts of other songs and smush them all together... nah, nevermind. i will just have to find a new theme-song. grr. unlike in movies, my theme song is not played every time i walk into the room or do something heroic, although i do play it in my head sometimes. scratch that. i play it in my head A LOT, not sometimes. but right now i can't play a theme song in my head because I DON'T HAVE ONE!!! sadness. so, now i am on a mission to get one. and that's all i have to say about my theme song for the time being. we will now proceed to switch to my favorite topic... HORSES!!!!
ok, so this week i'm FINALLY going to get rated in pony club!! i've been in pony club for probably 4-5 months now and i am still not rated, but that's because the last rating i was going to go to got cancelled. so, finally, this saturday i am getting rated!! and another thing about saturday: IT'S MY BIRTHDAAAAAAAY!! woot woot (: and then before my rating on saturday, i'm taking a lesson on friday just to get some last minute practice in on Grady, who is the horse i'm using for my rating. if this means anything to anyone, i'm going for my D-2, but i have to get my D-1 first cuz they don't allow you to skip ratings. but anyways, i'm really excited about my rating, and even more excited that my rating is on my birthday!!! seriously, what other girl would be excited about being rigorously tested all day on her birthday? i'm such a horse nut (: if you get the chance, please pray that my rating and my friends' ratings (i have a bunch of friends rating up the same day i am) will go well!!
