I start school shortly...ORA PRO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well, my days of doing nothing are officially OVER!  School starts, orchestra started (Ora pro me!), my acting class is starting back up, I'm doing Algebra 1 (NOT Saxon, YAY!), and keeping touch with friends all at the same time.  BUT, there's a rule in my house that goes like this:  No finished schoolwork, NO BLOGGING!  No clean kitchen (I do have to do dishes ya know), NO BLOGGING.  No violin/piano practice (and that is what I don't like doing on my instruments), NO BLOGGING.  Are you noticing a trend here?  So, basicially, if I do nothing I'm suppossed to do, then I can't do anything that I want to do.
As I have said before, "Ora Pro Me!"  Translation in English:  Pray For Me!

Rambler - a crazy poem I wrote one day last year

                                               Rambler

I am a rambler; yes I do know that I am this,

I ramble on and on about nothing, just like this.

Walking through the swaying weeping willow trees,

seeing all the dead bodies of all the bumble bees.

I don't like to really make sense as you can see,

because this rambling spirit is just right f        or me.

As I'm staring at the yellow and half blue train,

I am walking through all this pouring green rain.

Nothing makes sense to you, you know, I know,
but you'll change your mind fast when it snows.

This message goes together with just about anything,

even when you try to shout 'Bling, Bling, Bling, Bling.'

About the movies, why does everyone get so real quiet,

I want to shout and I want to pretend that I'm in a riot.

Smiling and giggling, I splash my way through,

this dog-eat-dog world, to the cliff without you.

You are my sunshine; you're my bright shining star,

I just got busted for bustin' into a cold, hard car.

I'm just a rambler; you all must know that by now,

Wavin' and dancing through the white and gray clouds.

This spirit I feel is one of the insecurity of minds,

when I get to heaven, I'll sleep in all the silver mines.

The night sky blends in with my broken heart that's red,

because my true love has turned away from me and fled.

The rambler in me proves to be a useful thing in life,

all day I dream about settling someone's hurtful strife.

I ramble on about nothing, not really anything at all,

wondering when I'm gonna hit that olive brick wall.

I just run on the beach at night to yell and holler,

everyone smiles their smiles and they always follow.

I know this doesn't rhyme very, very well as you can see,

but I'm a rambler you see and that's the way I wanna be.

If you dont support our troops, read this, and then you'll want to.

Your alarm goes off, you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.
He stays up for days on end.
>

You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
>
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
>
You put on your 'Anti war/Don't support the troops' shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
>

You make sure you're cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
>
You talk trash about your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
>
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls/hot guys.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
>
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow
>
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He doesn't get to eat today.
>
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for weeks, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
>
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
>
You're angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He's told he will be held over an extra 2 months.
>
You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
>
You hug and kiss your girlfriend/boyfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
>

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
>

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.
>
You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.
He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.
>
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the broken bodies lying around him.
>
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does exactly what he is told.
>
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.
>
You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gunfire.
>
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is probably a worse place because of men like him.
>

If only there were more men like him . . .

Me and the Piano

I’ve only recently started composing music for piano and violin/viola and seriously playing/studying all 3 instruments.  I started playing the piano when I was 6 years old, and went steady with lessons and recitals till I was about 9 or 10.  Then, we moved south of Chicago (and I mean, really south, like 400 miles away south).  I didn’t take lessons for about a year and a half, then I started up with a different piano teacher.  That lasted six months.  I guess this teacher got tired of teaching or something.  She just quit.

Then, I sort of started piano with our church’s pastor’s family and that lasted just as long as my second teacher had.

3 years later, I sat down at the piano one day (I then hated the piano and refused to even touch it) and started plunking out this song I really liked on the radio.  And then, it snapped inside of me.  I had an ear for music, and not just any old ear either.  I could play anything I heard…in any key on the piano.  I could transpose music instantly into any key I wanted.

          And then I started composing.

Now, almost 2 years later, I’ve written about 15 songs w/lyrics, and countless others by just sitting down and playing a song, making it up as I go.

The easiest keys I can play are: No sharps/flats, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 sharps, and 1, 2, 3, and 5 flats.  I’m working on all the others.  But if a song is in a key I can’t play that well in, I just transpose it to a different key and off I go!

I can easily compose at least 5 songs a day now, and I have a whole bunch of expensive equipment to make my own sheet music with, but I have to admit, I’m a musician, not a technician.  I have yet to make my music a reality by making my own sheet music for my songs.

But I firmly believe that if God wants me to have sheet music, I’ll figure out my sophisticated, confusing Interface cables, MIDI Ins and Outs, Plug-ins, and whatever the technical world can throw at me.  As my favorite Bible verse says, “I will mount up with wings as eagles, over all my MIDI cables…” well, not exactly, but you get my drift.

And there’s my story.  Hope you all enjoyed reading it.  (And I actually sounded NORMAL during this entire post…WOWSERS!)

P.S.  I can't sight read a lick BTW

I'm bored

Posted in The Random

Today is a fine day (gosh, I sound like I'm wrting in a diary).  Tomorrow will hopefully be a finer day.  Tomorrow's my piano lesson.....OMG!!!!!!!!!
I've talked all about everything else on my blog, but I haven't talked about piano...once!
Woe is me.  I am a TERRIBLE person.
Okay, so in case you didn't know this, I'm a composer.  I write songs
(and whenever I feel inspired, lyrics along with the songs).  The record of songs I've written in one day is five.
Does anybody else play piano here?  I want to know!

My Favorite Bible Verse...

Finally, here's something worth getting all worked up about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isaiah 40:31  But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles...
I like to stop right there and not go any farther.  That's all I need to get me through a rough day, or a tough friendship break-up, or ANYTHING in this FREAKIN' world!  It doesn't get any better than that, peoples!  It's so encouraging!   So.....astronomicially wonderful!
And as a really popular CCM song states...."It makes me wanna dance!"

Just been thinking...

Do people ever pay attention to random blogs?  Maybe I should tone it down a little, or methinks that toning it up would cause me to be...well, looked down upon.
But never to fear, the Cat in the Hat is always near.  He likes to play with Thing One and Thing Two, but if you don't watch him, the house will come unglued!
Sorry!
Okay, serious, serious, serious.  I MUST be more serious to have more readers.
Oh, I know something more seriouser.  Okay, once upon a time, there was a rabbit with four eyes, three legs, and four hundred tails.  He was limping along a garden path one day when all of a sudden, he had four legs, two eyes, and ONE tail.  Where did all the other components of the wabbit-bunny go?
And I thought it was suppossed to be funny....

I sold my parrot yesterday!

Yay, he's GONE!  (Like Tobey Mac says lol)  $125!  And when I told one of my friends about it, he's like, "That's crazy; he's not even big enough to eat!"  Of course, even after selling my birdy, I had to defend him.  :)  :(  :)
Anyways, got a day full of work ahead of me, so'z I'd better stop wasting my time (and yours as well).

More Meaning to Life (and my blog)

After making the first two posts of this blog stUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUpid, I'm going to be changing to more, meaningful posts.
Anyways, I've diagnosed myself with ADD...the good kind.  Addicted (to) Dad's (great) Driving.
Please tell me if this is more meaningful, cuz I really don't think I'm making any improvments.
I want to talk about my friends...and of course, me.  But friends first.  They are great.  Now, about me....oh, snap!
gtog,
Jared
