We started reading Charlottes Web this week as a family. It is such a pleasant book full of beautiful descriptions of life and the struggles of relationships. Superman has never been interested really in any books that we have read aloud so far. Expresso and him were at the bookstore the other day and he wanted to get a book. Expresso called me and said he had picked out Spiderman book of tricks or something and I immediately cringed at his choice and told Expresso that I thought he should look some more. A few minutes later he said Superman wanted to get Eragon which was a little better but way over his age so I suggested Charlottes Web the read aloud version. A few minutes later he called again and said they got both, I was pleased. That night we began CW and I was a little worried that he wouldn’t be interested in the little pig and his friends but to my surprise he sat there rather intrigued by the story daddy was reading. Every night so far he has been just as fascinated asking questions and relating to the story. I am so glad that we decided to read this book. Yesterday while out blog hopping I stumbled upon 7 Valleys Homeschool who just so happened to be posting on their adventures in CW as well and what they were doing in addition to it. We are going to incorporate some of her wonderful ideas into our adventures with Charlotte and Wilbur.
When we finish the book we are going to as a family go and see the movie. Also, we are reading Eragon, Superman and I, together in the afternoons but I am not sure how long that will last? :0) I am guessing we will be moving on soon.
JOYfully in Him,
Kelli

I have CW waiting for me at the library. I have to go tonight to pick it up. I am hoping to get my 9 year old to read it to her 5 year old brother. Then we all plan on seeing the movie, also!

Denton is about 30 mins from Dallas. I think it goes Carrolton, Lewisville, then Denton. So we are pretty close!
