2007/2008 Goals

Posted in 2007/2008 Homeschool Prep

Here are my goals for the coming year:

Goals for this year:

Overall: To have JOY filled days of learning! Where every moment of our classroom time is packed full of memory making fun, learning and training but also…

…To make the most of every God given moment that we are blessed with.
…To be a Godly example to my children in every area of my day to day life with them.
…To encourage them to live a life according to the scriptures and in step with the Spirit.
…To keep a joy filled attitude through out every day in turn teaching them to be joy filled.
…Showing reverence for Christ in our studies by making Him the center of them.
…Teach them how to pray, when to pray, and to be respectful in the time of prayer.
…To stay organized and on schedule with each curriculum’s or my own expectations and   guidelines.
…To have FUN!

I pray that we will also grow through the struggles. That patience and perseverance will abound and consume our hearts. I hope that forgiveness will reign in each of our hearts as we inevitably make mistakes and weakly surrender to our nature. That our words will be sweetened with honey, we will learn to be listeners becoming slow to speak and slow to anger. May we focus on Christ being the center in all of our studies and to follow where we are led.

More specifically:

..for Eli…

…to learn how to work diligently (Colossians 3:23)
…grow more patience with his progress (Galatians 5:23)
…to realize that learning doesn’t have to be “boring”
…become more fluent in reading
…and to enjoy it more
...to excel in all areas of his studies

…for Kai…

…to have fun and learn as much as he can, ideally
…to learn and recognize a,b,c's
…numbers 1-10
…to learn more about the bible and God
…to enjoy reading with momma
…to learn to sit still and play alone
…to improve Fine Motor skills

…for Myself

…to be organized
…make a project booklet
…do at least 1 project a week
…read aloud for at least 1 hour a day
…get to know new homeschoolers
…to go on a lot field trips
…make weekly trips to library
…have fun and be an encouragement
…speak only with kindness
…enjoy my time teaching my boys
...to record our homeschool happenings

Awesome, inspiring goals! I'm going to come back and visit to see how your year is coming along.

Let me know if you find a good Children's Bible.

Thanks for visiting!
